My truck almost left me stranded on the highway. I got it to Casey Chevy in Newport News and they told me they couldn't even look at it for 3-4 days. I then called my preferred service dealer Ken Ho I got it to Casey Chevy in Newport News and they told me they couldn't even look at it for 3-4 days. I then called my preferred service dealer Ken Houtz where I've been going for almost 10 years and Mark said if I could get it to him, he'd have it looked at by the end of the day so that's what I did. I then was having trouble getting a ride home and Dave was so awesome and gave me ride home. Before I was able to leave the dealership Tyler had already looked at my truck and gave me recommendations in which I said go ahead. Friday, they had my truck back in service. Outstanding work by the Ken Houtz Service team. I will no longer even try to go anywhere else. Thank you very much to Ken Houtz Chevrolet!! -Scott More

Wasted money on the warranty and still stuck paying with repairs the warranty should have covered. Service manager lied and told me that the rental that was under warranty to be provided while my car was in the shop would not be provided because Enterprise had none available. Called Enterprise and there were plenty available. So much so that they asked if I’d like a Sedan, SUV, or a Minivan. More
This had nothing to do with covid19. They said it was going to be about 10 days to do the job. got no updates got no how are you this is what we're doing but now it is September the 29th and they say now that they're finished with it. oh yes by the way we had to put new motor mounts in the truck without telling you or asking for authorization. I understand that you need motor mounts but where they old or will they broken. There was money already in the estimate to cover unexpected parts due to age rust and etc. I said they called numerous times to try to get a hold of someone to ask for authorization but nothing registers in the call logs of the cell phone. I spoke to Warren Morrell in the service department. He tried to explain to me that he was doing me a favor for putting those in without asking for any authorization to do so. If this is how Ken Houtzs service policy is I think it's pretty xxxx poor that they don't have to ask the customer to fix things without their authorization to go above a certain amount of dollars. most companies the work stops until you get authorization. so what's my opinion that you need to watch them very closely at every itemized list and everything they do because they might try to slip in something that may or may not needed fixing you just don't know because they already said they like doing it your best interest but I will never get service done there ever again and I will never buy another car from them ever again because of this particular incident thank you. This had nothing to do with covid19. Called by the owner himself and he asked me to change this review and put in a certain thing and I said I would I will say that ken houtz Chevrolet did pay for the motor mounts and labor to put them in because they didn't ask for authorization and this was the correct thing to do. Will they do this to anybody else, I don't know so you have to keep an eye on them. They quoted me one labor rate before the job even started and then after it was completed it was another labor rate so keep an eye on it and get it in writing. thank you because there is a whole lot of she said he said things that go along in there that they will tell you and not do it un less it is in writing. UPDATE: After picking up Suburban after a month. and a $8000 engine Replacement the truck is still having the same PROBLEM. After speaking to Mr. Morrell this morning He said they would look at this AGAIN. This has been one big nightmare dealing with KEN HOUTZ CHEVEROLET. Not because of the prices that Mr. Morrell charges to for the same problems but different people it is because I expected the utmost knowledge and professionalism from a dealership that has been around for 40 YEARS but I still got a suburban doing the same thing after being told that a NEW engine would FIX IT ALL. $8000 Later..IT DID NOT. again if any one reads this save yourself a nightmare and headache and DONT DEAL WITH MR. MORREL OR THIS DEALERSHIP Thanks for reading Update 2: They said it was a cracked spark plug, but I know that this truck will do the same thing again and they left the EGR SENSOR and say it is not part of the engine I spent $8000 and it didn't com with that? Stay AWAY Run fast More

After waiting for 3 days for them to get to my vehicle I was called and told that the fuel pump needed replacing at a cost of 3600+/-. The service manager was very vague on the reason for the cost other than it's a lot of work to replace them. I felt as this was too vauge of an explanation for a repair this costly. I had the vehicle towed to another shop and two hours later with a filter assembly rebuild the vehicle is running great for approx 300.00. The mechcanic that worked on it said when he got it that they had left the hoses of the filter assembly with missing clamps, you would think that after paying the dealership 150 for a diagnosing fee that they would have at least put it back the way they found it. I am unsure if this was a deliberate attempt on the dealership's part to defraud me or if the the mechcanic was incompetent?? More
I had a computer problem with my Trail Blazer so I took it to this dealership. Billy in the service department was friendly and kept me up on what was going on with the car. I found Gary to be most knowledgeable about the vehicle. I had looked for over a year trying to decide on a vehicle and his knowledge of the vehicle helped me make a decision. I do not (in fact I detest) I had looked for over a year trying to decide on a vehicle and his knowledge of the vehicle helped me make a decision. I do not (in fact I detest) purchasing a vehicle, however it was rather easy working with this dealer; he worked with us on price, on getting exactly what I wanted on a vehicle. He also found a lower interest rate than what I found. That was fabulous; it was also a local bank which I welcome supporting local businesses. Historically our family have purchased Ford vehicles - in great part to this dealer we decided on the Chevrolet Equinox (we had also researched the ratings on crossovers and the Equinox had fabulous ratings)but the culture of this dealer was welcoming, straightforward, and accommodating. They had my car (while I wa waiting there) for 3.5 hours. They assured me I wouldn't be leaking anymore. well long story short, my car still leaks, in the process of the "repair" they broke the stripping along the inside of my door that costs $100 to replace and my power locks no longer work. I've tried relentlessly to get a refund which they said they sent but they didnt...not only that they are refusing to replace the piece they broke, Ken even said "oh well"..... I am very frustrated & dissappointed in Chevy and I will no longer be a loyal customer...I took my car to get it fixed & came out with two more problems. More
