They can't fix non working Eyesight I took my Forester to fix the Eyesight that quit working. The service manager said it is caused by a non-Sabaru brand replacement windshield that was I took my Forester to fix the Eyesight that quit working. The service manager said it is caused by a non-Sabaru brand replacement windshield that was installed and so he refused to work on and fix the Eyesight. He said I have to change the windshield to a Subaru brand glass first before he would work on it. Upon checking, I found this would cost over $1000. Safeco, my insurance company approved the windshield replacement, but said that I didn't tell them that I wanted a Subaru windshield, as if I was supposed to know that. They also warantee their work only if it is done at one of their approved glass shops using Safelite windshields. The Eyesight worked fine for two years after the windshield replacement, and so I don't believe the windshield is the cause of the Eyesight failure. If the Subaru service dealer would just fix the broken Eyesight, my car would be fine again. But now I have a new Subaru with no cruise control and nothing I can do about. I am sorry that I bought the car in the first place. Without a cruise control I can't even sell the car or trade it in. More

In & Out in 15 min!! Drove down from Seattle with light on the dash! Had it checked as soon as I arrived in Eugene. They did the recall work, but also told her that the battery needed replaced and wanted to do it that day. She told them she’d take it to our usual (honest) car place, B&G Auto Repair. We took it there and they said the battery was fine, no work was needed, and didn’t charge us a dime. Kendall’s dishonesty has lost a customer for their car service department (I used to take my Prius there regularly) and I will also no longer patronize their car dealership either. Bad form, Kendall. More

Would not recommend for any service work. I brought my Legacy in for a safety recall (which can only be done at the dealership). To my knowledge, the work was completed satisfactorily . I was advised that they would need my car for most of the day but received a call less than 2 hours after dropping it off saying it was ready. When I picked it up I observed that the passenger front seat had been moved as far forward as it goes, but I did not try to return it to it's normal position til the next morning. When I tried to move it back, it would not move. I looked under the seat and it appeared the pair of flip flops that it keep under the front edge of the seat was jammed in the seat mechanism. I called the dealership and was told to drop by and they get the flip flops out. In the meantime a friend removed the flips flops but the seat would still not move. I had my friend take my car in the next day, they looked at the seat and said the seat had been broken when it arrived the previous day and they were not responsible for it. This is absolutely untrue. The seat was functioning perfectly and was not moved as forward as it would go ( you can't even get into the seat in that position) when I left it the day before. But, for $1100 plus labor--they could fix it for me, which I declined. My friend then drove the car directly back to me and as luck would have it had a gouge in the rear bumper, which it had not had a few hours prior. The only place the car had been was to the Subaru dealership. Hmmmmm..... I was warned by a dealership employee when I took it in for the recall work that they have a lot of accidents in their small parking lot. Well, that much proved to be true. Everyone I spoke too was very polite, but they broke my car and refused take responsibility. More
