My car was picked up for servicing. since I lived too far for this service, I went to my office for pick up. Pick up was half hour late. No big deal. When care was ready, Giovanni sent me a message. They lie to sell cars My mother a 56 yr old non english speaking person was sold a 2016 used car that was out of warranty in 2019. My mother has a 720 credit score, yet she was sold a 2016 for $500 a month and she financed a total of $26,000.00 with an interest rate of 24% and $3000 down payement. ROBBERY!!!! She was told to go back in 6 months to refinance the terrible deal she was given. Well we went together and were told there was no way to refinance, to go to our bank and refinance there. After ARGUING for about 6 hrs, she left with a 2020 car interest rate down to 4%. However she was upside down with her first purchase so they sold her a new car and she had to add what we were told would be $9000.00 negative equity. Turns out it was $13,000.00 negative equity. Also, she was told she would have no payments for 90 days it turns out to be 45 days only. Toyota finance told us, the 90 days was not part of our contract and it would not be honored. Kendall Toyota is extremely unethical, they take gross advantage of customers. Lie outright with no reprocussions at all whatsoever. No-one is stopping these dirtbags. More
Horrible buying experience and even worse treatment On March 28th, I went to this dealership to buy a Corolla 2020. The process went by relatively smoothly, until we reached the signing part. I was told On March 28th, I went to this dealership to buy a Corolla 2020. The process went by relatively smoothly, until we reached the signing part. I was told by both the Sales agent and the Finance agent that I would receive a three month grace period of no payments, meaning that I wouldn't have to pay until June the 28th. The Finance agent that was helping me was Sergio Betancourt, who affirmed those terms would be in the contract. For around 30 minutes he was just bringing me his tablet telling me where to sign and standing next to me, visibly impatient as I took my time, which made me feel pressured to sign as he gave a small and unspecific overview of what each page was. Since this was the first time I purchased a car, I put my trust in his word and signed as he swiped pages. After all was said and done, a week went by and I received my account number in the mail. When I logged in I saw that my first payment was due on May the 12th, meaning that he never included the 90 day period, but 45 days instead. When I called him to ask what was happening he said that he did not remember who I was nor what he had told me (mind you, it had only been 9 days since he saw me) and that the contract was signed and that I should have read it more carefully. When I asked if what he had told me and my parents was a lie he began a defensive attitude saying that he did not appreciate me calling him a liar. He then said he would call his Director to see what he could do to help. He never called me back. The following day I texted the sales associate that helped me, and he explained that it had been Sergio's mistake, because he clearly remembered telling us about the 3 months. When I called Sergio again, he said that he did not know why the sales member told that to me because he called his Director and nothing could be done. I asked him if I could please speak with the director and he said he would give me a call right back. Once again, nobody called me. I had to speak directly with the sales associate, Humberto, who went above and beyond to solve this issue, speaking with the Director himself and explaining that it was a benefit offered before the sale. Humberto explained that I had to go to the dealership to sign the contract again with the new terms, making not only my parents and I expose ourselves to the dangers of the corona virus, but Humberto as well, as he only went to the dealership to fix this issue. When we went there, Sergio had left, and Humberto and another finance agent were the ones helping me through the process. If Sergio would have told me since the beginning that I would be getting only 45 days, it would have affected my decision of buying the car. I do not appreciate Sergio's inability to help me even though it was his mistake, and I definitely do not appreciate his lack of care by telling me I would receive a call back twice and then, again, not following through his promises. I am greatly disappointed by this experience and, had I known I would receive this treatment, I would have bought a car elsewhere. Nevertheless, I have to give props to Humberto who was indeed a man of his word and did everything in his hand to help me. More
