I walked in to dealership with the intention of driving away with a new vehicle/leased and that's exactly what I did. I am only rating the service department and I'd give them a 0 out of 10. I brought a 2004 Hyundai I recently purchased to them to evaluate clutch which was having problems. They quoted a whopping $1500 say a 0 out of 10. I brought a 2004 Hyundai I recently purchased to them to evaluate clutch which was having problems. They quoted a whopping $1500 saying it needed a new flywheel in addition to the clutch. I brought to a local repair shop in Milford (Ace Auto) who road tested, took apart transmission, and advised flywheel was fine--clutch repair was $600 and car is running great. I feel Key Hyundai tried to rip me off and did not evaluate the problem other than road-testing (for which I was charged $100). I won't be going back needless to say. Since my visit, they've had a telemarketing firm call to get muy opinion of service. I explained what happened and left my contact information--guess what, they never called !! More
The staff were all very nice and accommodating overall. There were very patient in waiting for me to make my final decision. I felt a bit mislead by the salesperson, Tommy, for 2 reasons. Initially, he told us we could get a demo car for the same price as the lower model new car we were looking at - this was not the case. He also told us (3x's as I questioned it) we would pay nothing for the leased Jeep we traded in as a payoff. This was not the case either (unfortunately, I realized this too late after I had already signed the loan contract). The loan person, Manny, was very nice but I am still confused about the price we were charged and our CT tax discount (despite his explanation to us). He did give us a free repair voucher after I expressed my concern about the Jeep issue (at our next visit to the dealer) as some compensation. I can only describe my experience as bad overall due to the above information and also because I had to get my new car repaired within the 1st week of ownership. The day after buying the car, we noted a problem with the steering pulling to the left & informed them immediately. I was surprised that the problem was not noted earlier as an employee, Chad, had been driving it for some 3,300 miles before us and the 2011 Sonatas have already had a steering recall. The dealer is working with us to repair the defect but based on my 2 days of research with the internet, NHTSA, and Hyundai itself - I am not confident the problem can be fixed (short of another recall on the Sonata's steering defects). I regret buying the car and the ultimate price I paid for it. I am worried that it may not be a safe car. Most people don't trust car dealers in general and my experience has not helped me feel any different from this. I do not sleep "worry free". More
Andre was knowledgeable, courteous and very friendly. He helped me buy my new Tuscon and I am very pleased. Finding the exact car I wanted was a difficult task, but Sal made sure it could be found. I was looking to Lease a car that got better gas mileage than my current daily driver. Hyundai was really the option for me to look at after test driving all the other competitors. Me and my wife walked in by pure chance, that the Dealership was open on Sunday and was greeted by Travis in the parking lot. We spoke with him about what we're looking for and he showed us the new 2011 Elantras. They actually just sold all the ones they had in stock, but we could look at one that was still on site. We liked it and decided on a new GLS Model with some options. We were told it would be 1-2 weeks until they get more in but after 4 days we got a call and drove right down to pick it up. We drove off with our new 2011 Elantra that night. Everyone we've dealt with was very helpful and informative. Travis and Andre explained and showed us everything on the car and walked us around the service area and we were very pleased by the whole buying experience. We ended up buying the car instead of Leasing it and will be recommending the Dealership to everyone we know. No Pressure tactics, no bait and switch. Thank You. Gabor B. More
I was pleasantly surprised by my visit to Key Hyundai after visiting several other dealerships recently. I was greeted prompted at the door by a sales person. Matt was wonderful; he was helpful, honest and did not try to oversell me on a vehicle I didn’t want nor need. We quickly went over all the details, checked out the new Santa Fe, and in less than an hour, I was purchasing the new SUV. During the pickup process, again Matt was great – spending time reviewing the vehicle features and Manny was also extremely friendly and helpful with the financial details. I will be recommending the dealership specifically because of the staff members (Matt, Manny & Caroline) I worked with and how quick and smooth the process was for me, completely hassle and stress free. My wife and I left our house on the 19th of March with the intention to look only for a new car. We were planning on going to 2 maybe 3 dealers and then make a decision. Our first stop was Key Hyundai in Milford CT. and we wer going to look at the new Hyundai Elantra, however they only had 1 Elantra and it was sold and waiting to be detailed. We then began to look around the lot at several cars, mostly Sonata's and we probably looked over 18 different vehicle's. One of the first cars we saw was a Black Sonata limited Demo which caught my eye immediately, however my wife told me that she did not want a black or white car no matter what., so I kept on walking. Well that black Sonata Limited got her attention as well and after looking at several more cars we came back to the black Sonata Limited. After talking about it and looking it over we made eye contact with Anthony and the process began. Anthony was very professional, never pushed, just seemed to manage the entire process with a nice easy style which I happen to like in a Salesman. I bought many cars over the years and I dealt with many of them, I'm in sales myself, I just liked the way things seem to flow, and after some conversation, the deal was done. When we came to the financial end of the purchase we experienced the same kind of relationship with Manny and when everything was said and done, we left with the confidence that I hoped for, and even though we did not plan to buy a car that day we obviously did and were totally comfortable with the experience. We left the dealership with a good feeling about our future relationship with them as far as the servicing of our new car, and we are already thinking about sometime within the next year selling our Accura TL and buying another Sonata from our new friends at Key Hyunai in Milford.
