I currently reside in Pennsylvania. A few weeks ago I began the search for a large full size vehicle. I searched up to 500 miles away, went through at least 200 different ads and dealers and came across began the search for a large full size vehicle. I searched up to 500 miles away, went through at least 200 different ads and dealers and came across Salem Ford Hyundai, selling not a Ford or a Hyundai, but a 2013 Dodge Charger R/T. The price seemed fair for this low mileage 2013 vehicle, after some research I made a few calls and advised them of my situation (being 6 hours away, needing to close a "verbal deal" over the phone prior to me coming there). The gentleman I dealt with (one of the managers) David Silvia was more than accommodating and welcoming of my business. I received great treatment and felt enthusiasm from everyone at the dealer. They gave me a fair price for my trade in based on KBB & Autotrader, etc. I decided to make the purchase, gave my banking information to Armando Rodriguez and asked him to get in contact with my bank to process the financing and at the end of the day, the deal was closed. Their superior level of customer service made everything a breeze. I drove the 385 miles from my home to the dealer Saturday 8/10/13 to pick up my new vehicle and I was met by what seemed very honest, humble and down to earth people. I wish to thank the staff at Salem Ford Hyundai for making my purchasing experience a breeze considering everything was done for me while being out of state. Starting Sept. 2012, we visited numerous dealers of, not only Hyundai, but other makes as well. After about 6 weeks of test drives, and evaluations, our 2013 Santa Fe Sport was the best decision we could have made. To start with, when we walked in this dealership, we expected the traditional assault and high pressure we had been encountering. Quite to our surprise, our experience was completely the opposite. Mike Rodriguez, sales associate, and Michael Palmer, the sales manager, politely introduced themselves and made us feel totally at ease. We talked features and pricing and told them we were still considering other cars. They were not upset in any way, and understood that buying a car is a large expenditure and not everyone makes a snap decision. They understood totally and said that if we had any questions, to give them a call. WOW! This was totally different than the arm twisting, give me a deposit check now approach that we were experiencing. We didn't even have to go back to order the car, just did it over the phone. My wife and I are expecting and my old vehicle was a 2 door which was not ideal for a baby. My grandmother just recently purchased a Hyundai Elantra so I called her to ask her opinion of it, particularly with the winter driving. She said that it was good considering it is not a 4 wheel drive vehicle. I had always passed by the Ford Hyundai in Salem, NH and when I told her I was planning on looking at purchasing one she jumped right away to tell me to go to Ford Hyundai in Salem, NH. Previous experience with other dealerships have been walking in to a group of dealers closing in on me, getting harassed when putting in an email address/phone number in a car inquiry, trying to talk me into a 10,000 mile lease when I drive 25,000 miles a year. I called ahead and spoke with Mike, who told me I could talk to him when I arrived. I arrived earlier than expected, Mike was busy so he promptly asked if I was alright to talk to Nelson instead so I wouldn't have to wait. That was perfectly acceptable to me so I dealt with Nelson and he was very helpful and informative with everything I needed to know. I felt that Nelson was more concerned about making sure I chose the correct vehicle for my family rather than making a sale. I will definitely go there for any servicing and when it comes time for a new vehicle. More
