I bought a 2025 Tuscon at Keyes Van Nuys. It included in the purchase price a 3 yr/36,000 mile Complimentary maintenance. At about 3,500 miles a message came up on my car dashboard that service is almost due, At about 4,000 it said service was due. In addition, I received an email 11/4/25 from Van Nuys Hyundai that service was due. The email stated "your current milage (3515 miles) indicates maintenance is due for your 2025 Tuscon Hybrid". I made an appointment (disclosing the current miles) for 12/3/25. When I went in I was told maintenance isn't until 8,000 miles. I stated that the car gave me the warnings as did the email that maintenance was due now. The service advisor looked at the maintenance settings that was set by the dealership which called for service at 5,000 miles. I was further told that the 3 yr/36,000 mile maintenance free boils down to 4 oil changes. The service advisor stated he'd push the car through for an oil change but it would then void one of the 4 oil changes and I'd be short a free oil change near the end of the 3 years. I asked specific questions and the answers given did not match the extended warranty he ended up giving me. I found this out when I picked up the paperwork after the purchase, as no paperwork on it was given at the time of purchase. Soon as it's all in the system I'll be canceling it. But most disappointing. When I bought my Mercedes at Keyes European it was a good experience. After this one not sure I'll make another purchase at Keyes nor would I be inclined to recommend Keyes. Process for drop off is very slow. You make an appointment weeks in advance. They remind you of your appointment many times. An extremely disgusting place, where the staff and management demonstrated unprofessionalism. My car stayed at their dealership for over 4.5 months, which is completely unacceptable. Communication w management demonstrated unprofessionalism. My car stayed at their dealership for over 4.5 months, which is completely unacceptable. Communication was poor, there was little accountability, and I never felt like my concerns were taken seriously. Based on this experience, I strongly advise others to avoid this dealership.
