Purchased the vehicle from Kia Delray and, unfortunately, the delivery inspection was not done properly, with safety concerns. When the car sits outside in the sun, the metal/latch mechanism expands, and the the delivery inspection was not done properly, with safety concerns. When the car sits outside in the sun, the metal/latch mechanism expands, and the hatchback trunk completely jams shut and will not open. This is a severe functional issue for a brand-new vehicle. For me, this is very important to be addressed as soon as possible, as I have a baby and can’t put a stroller inside the vehicle. Because this sale was less than 24 hours old, I brought the car back to your service department immediately to have the trunk latch realigned or replaced under warranty, but they weren’t able to help. Yesterday, a loaner was provided to me, and today when I called, I was told that because the loaner car was issued to me, that my car is not high priority and that someone will call me. Again, this is a brand-new car. When I picked up my vehicle and drove home, I also noticed that the tires were not properly aligned, the tire pressures were uneven, and one of the valve stem caps was missing. While the missing cap is a minor issue, it raises concerns that the vehicle was not thoroughly inspected before being delivered to me. I traded in my K5, which I also purchased from your dealership, and I honestly regret that decision because of how this entire experience has unfolded. If I could, I would go back and keep my K5. I have never experienced this level of unprofessionalism after purchasing a vehicle, especially considering this is not our first purchase from your dealership. In fact, my wife and I were planning to return later this year to purchase another vehicle. Unfortunately, this experience has made us reconsider. More
