I work full time and hoping to get the car purchased in one day. When I called to ask how long before the purchase agreement could be sent to my lender, I felt like I was a bother to “manager”. When I arrived at the dealership I test drove the car, told salesman I would like to purchase the vehicle. Went and sat with financial person signed all paperwork, bought the car. Financial person says ok, where do you what is to deliver the car? I can’t take it home tonight ? He asked “do you have plates?” No one told me that “MA doesn’t have temporary plates!” That’s a pretty important thing to know if one lives out of state and wishes to purchase a vehicle in MA. I didn’t dicker the price, just wanted to drive my new to me car home. But that didn’t happen. The car was delivered the following day. With little effort I did research the temporary plates in MA and found that starting in 2026 the MA laws did change as a courtesy to out of staters purchasing vehicles, 20 day temporary plates are available. KIA North do better! More
