Horrible Experience I towed my vehicle to the Chattanooga location after having my battery tested at O'Reilly's (battery light came on, prompting us to get it checked out I towed my vehicle to the Chattanooga location after having my battery tested at O'Reilly's (battery light came on, prompting us to get it checked out). O'Reilly's stated my battery was fine and it was the alternator that needed to be replaced. I bought an alternator from them because it was in stock and cheaper than the Kia version that I would have to wait to receive. The service member immediately talked down on the "aftermarket" alternator saying there was a 1 in 4 chance it would work and that I should, instead, purchase the more expensive Kia version. I explained I recently had both the engine and transmission replaced and this was a much more economical option for my family. Fast forward to them completing the diagnostic- he called to tell me I needed a new battery and that he could get a Kia battery to me for several hundreds of dollars. The battery was just tested and the person who tested it told me it would need to be charged. The Kia service rep said that it couldn't be charged and to order the Kia battery. I decided to purchase a new battery from AutoZone. I turned in the old battery to find out it was fine all along. When they finally replaced the alternator, he called to tell me it wasn't working and that he could have the Kia branded alternator to me by the next day. I was uncomfortable with his lack of actual customer service. He was more focused on his need to sell me parts I did not need. I paid my bill and had my car towed to a different location that I trusted. They checked my car out and, what do you know... it is running just fine. Had I listened to the service rep at Kia of Chattanooga, I would have been out of labor charges *times two* and paying a much higher price for another alternator I did not need. I will never take either of my Kia's back to this dealership again. I was without my car for days for something that could have only taken one day to complete if the workers were honest and focused on service rather than selling Kia products. More
It was a very fast and helpful experience. I gave this rating because when I went for an oil change they also tested my vehicle for other stuff and notified me about certain things. Awesome I am in needing my car looked at but was told I would need an appointment but if I didn’t mind waiting they could fit me in..
