Service department doesn't take responcibilty for mistakes Today I brought in my 2013 Kia soul to get the oil changed as I have done for the past 5 years of owning this car. Today I asked about an issue with a Today I brought in my 2013 Kia soul to get the oil changed as I have done for the past 5 years of owning this car. Today I asked about an issue with a safety recall they had done for me back in 2015. The recall was " Kia Motors has decided that a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety exists in certain 2010-2013 model year Kia Soul vehicles equipped with SUNROOFS." So they only recalled the issue with sunroofs so logic says it has something to do with the sunroof or near it. I NEVER use my sunroof. I only got it because it was part of the package on the car I wanted. My husband loves them. However he has his own car with one so he hardly ever drives mine. About 6 months ago he drove it and tried to use the sunroof. It would not open and made a grinding/clicking noise. Ok so I will have them take a look at it when I have the oil changed. Obviously something got messed up while they were fixing the recall no big deal. So today I get it looked at. Turns out it is a very big deal. I was told because the issue was so long ago they won't fix it. I asked what else could have possibly caused the issue and was told " That just happens sometimes." I was then told that I should have brought It in sooner and they would have fixed it....Huh so you don't really have a reason it could have broken other than you breaking it and you would have fixed it if I checked it earlier? That is ridiculous! I was expected to look for things they might have broken while "fixing" a safety recall. It is bad enough the car had a safety recall to begin with. I was then told it was "a big repair" and would be over 2,600.00 I also bought a lifetime bumper to bumper warranty with this car. I was then told that the warranty doesn't cover the sunroof. What??? It is not a maintenance item. It wasn't broken in a wreck. So why doesn't the warranty cover it? "I don't know. It just doesn't." When I first started going to this service department it was GREAT! I never had to wait more than 30 minutes for my car. Over the last 2 years or so the service has declined rapidly. I spent almost 2 hours in here today. Today my oil change was around $65. When I started going there it was about $25. I know things increase in price over time but almost triple in 5 years? I know that the stereo type for car sales and service are shady/ shifty people out to get your money. This dealership wasn't like that at first but it seems they have changed their policy on that. The worst part of this whole experience is that I LOVE my car. It suites me from the ground up, but it does have 125,000 miles so I am sure I will need to get a new one in a couple years. Before today I would have said absolutely I would buy another Kia Soul just like the one I have but now I am not sure. I know that would mean having to take it to this dealership for maintenance for another 5 years and I just don't see that happening. More
The most helpful service I've ever received As soon as we got out of our car Juan Salazar was so kind and helpful. He walked us around the lot as we told him our budget. He was very honest with the information of which cars would be in our price range. He showed us all the cars that fit our price range and size accommodations. When taking our information he was so friendly and understanding. He really took his time to help and get the best deal we could get. When test driving the car Juan made sure to show us and test out every feature possible and it was a lot of fun! He was such a delight to be around. He even helped me pair my phone to the radio which was great. I feel like Juan really gave a beautiful effort to send us home in the car we loved. When getting our paperwork and such filled out Jeff Middlebrooks was amazing. He explained every detail very well. The following Monday when I was having to call and make sure we had everything situated Jeff and Juan made sure we sent and they received all the necessary paperwork. Jeff even helped contact my insurance company to get all our information trans ponded correctly. That was a huge help on my end. I definitely made a great decision by choosing Kia of Chattanooga, and we got very lucky getting Juan and Jeff! We will for sure be referring all our friends and family to you all. Thanks so much it really means to world to my family to have this new car! More

Great Service ! Hank was extremely kind and helpful in getting me into my 2018 Chevy Impala!
