A Pleasnt Surprise My wife and I agreed it was time to purchase a new vehicle, so I began doing my extensive online research. I first made a list of reasons why we neede My wife and I agreed it was time to purchase a new vehicle, so I began doing my extensive online research. I first made a list of reasons why we needed a new vehicle and I came up with a few rather compelling needs, which became my key objectives of this process. Some key objectives I knew I had to meet were safety for my wife and kids, reliability, best in class warranty, and the cost of the vehicle. I knew for a fact that there were certain manufacturers that I would not even consider due to previous experiences and personal standards. At first, I never even considered Kia in my initial research because I was under the impression that their vehicles were cheaply made. As I began doing online side-by-side comparisons of mid size SUVs and crossovers, Kia's Sorento kept coming up at the top of the list. I then narrowed my list down to two vehicles, the Sorento and another, and really focused on which of the two met my aforementioned compelling needs/objectives. It ultimately came down to the warranty and the price that would lead me to the Kia Sorento. The next decision was to figure out where I was going to purchase the vehicle. I live in Hamilton County and I am a firm believer in keeping my tax money in the county where I live - so, this was the easiest decision...Kia of Chattanooga (KoC). So, I researched KoC and found numerous positive reviews and figured, "why not?". My wife and I got up on Saturday morning and drove to KoC. When we arrived my wife and I cracked a joke about the "sharks", or sales people, being ready to attack as soon as we got out of the car. We were greeted by a fairly young man and my first thought was, "this guy is awfully young and probably doesn't know much", but I later learned that I judged him before giving him a chance. He introduced himself as Jon Whiitaker and proceeded to listen to our needs. He took us over to the Sorentos and began telling us facts about the vehicle. We test drove a couple of vehicles, even a sedan, but went right back to the Sorento. To shorten the story considerably, we eventually chose the vehicle we wanted, in one of the colors we wanted, with more features than we wanted, and at a price and payment within our budget. I was very pleased with our salesperson, Jon Whitaker, and I was thoroughly impressed with his overall knowledge of the vehicles, even if I thought he was "too young". I would highly recommend Jon because he was very patient, flexible, understanding, and willing to be himself and not a stereotypical "shark" of a salesman. In closing, I was very pleased with my overall experience at KoC/Jon Whitaker and would highly recommend them if you're looking for a vehicle. Oh yeah, my wife loves her new 2015 Kia Sorento. More
Kia of Chattanooga went above and beyond. I was apprehensive from the start with purchasing a car. My credit has taken a nose dive in the past couple of years due to unforeseen obstacles, curveballs life has thrown my way. So, I was nervous about going to a dealership and being declined. It's not that I was worried they'd laugh in my face or anything, but I really didn't want to resort to a "buy here, pay here" car lot, with the absurd interest rates and high mileage vehicles. So, I looked around at different dealerships' inventories online, researched the right car for me and was drawn to Kia of Chattanooga. Like I said, I was reluctant with the whole process. But I was greeted by friendly folks from the start. John Woodall set me down and started the whole process. When I explained my situation, he brushed it aside and only cared about doing everything he could to get me into a car. He, Charlie Durham, and Mike Pomeroy did everything in their power to get me financed. That was about a week ago. I'm enjoying my 2011 Kia Sorento and couldn't be happier or more grateful for everything everyone did at Kia of Chattanooga. From the sales team to the guys in service and detail. I'm truly grateful. So bottom line, if you're in my same situation, with bad credit or just looking for a friendly, professional dealership, I can't stress how stress-free the folks at Kia of Chattanooga made my buying process. And I gotta say, I'm pretty impressed with my Sorento. I've gotten so many compliments from people and it looks and drives great. More
Car for my wife! I was in the market looking for a car for my wife. She loved the Kia Optima so I went to check them out at Kia of Chattanooga. Hank Brown was the fi I was in the market looking for a car for my wife. She loved the Kia Optima so I went to check them out at Kia of Chattanooga. Hank Brown was the first associate I seen so he and I started talking about the Optima. He was very informative and new a lot about the car. One of the best sales persons I have ever dealt with. He made sure that the sale was going through and was on top of everything. I really appreciate how he was up front and trying to get me the best deal possible and I believe that he did. I highly recommend Hank Brown and the rest of the team at Kia of Chattanooga. The car is amazing and my wife is still in shock I got it for her. Hank also checked on us about a week later making sure everything was good and the car is up to our expectations, and it is and more. Again thanks to Hank Brown. More
Never been happier with a car purchase I visited Kia of Chattanooga to look at a slightly used Optima. I was on the lot for approx. 3 minutes when Hank approached me and ask if anyone was I visited Kia of Chattanooga to look at a slightly used Optima. I was on the lot for approx. 3 minutes when Hank approached me and ask if anyone was helping me. Immediately I could tell he was a very friendly, but not aggressive sales person. We looked at a couple different cars, not really finding what I really wanted. My dream car was a red Camry with leather seats and loaded, but I couldn't find one at any of the Toyota dealerships, so I was willing to settle for something else. As I was walking the lot with Hank, I spotted a VERY NICE, low mileage RED Camry. I ask Hank if by chance it had leather interior and a sunroof and LOW mileage. He's reply was YES. I couldn't believe it. It was exactly what I was looking for. I didn't have time to test drive it, but immediately called my husband and told him he HAD to go to Kia and see the car. He and Hank drove it to my work and after a very smooth process, we drove the car home. My parents own a Kia and are very happy with it. Although I didn't purchase a Kia, I got the car of my dreams. Hank and Mike were awesome to work with. The entire team at Kia was helpful and friendly. I would recommend this dealership to any looking for a nice new or used car. Sincerely, Carly Bowman More

To my delight, my trade was treated with respect. I found 2013 Soul with low miles and Mike got the deal done with a GREAT RATE. (I am a banker so that was a huge consern of mine too). Today, my blast of a ride, gets unbelievable MPG. I can zip around town knowing my dollars where well spent with the KIA OF CHATTANOOGA TEAM. Thank you all! God Bless. More

He communicated our needs to the F&I Manager, and stayed with us through the entire process. He was straight-forward but not straight-laced. Purchase of 2015 Kia Sorento. My husband and I have been talking about purchasing a new car since early this year. We owned a 2005 Kia Sorento since early 2006. We never had ANY problems with the car other than replacing tires, light bulbs and a battery, great car! We thought about downsizing since we are " seniors " but decided to stay with an SUV. After visiting the Kia lot on a Sunday ( dealership closed ) and looking at both Sorentos and Sportages, we decided to come back during the week to speak with a salesperson. My husband researched the Sorento and other makes of SUVs online and came to the conclusion that since we had such good luck with our 2005 and prices were comparable we would stay with a Sorento. On Friday, May 30th, we returned to the Dealership. We were warmly greeted in the lot by Karen Cross who brought us into the showroom and introduced us to Charlie Durham. She then took us out to the lot to show us their inventory of Sorentos. She is very knowledgeable when it comes to Kias and pointed out many features of the Sorento. We settled on a Sorento EX 6 cylinder and then went on a test drive. During the drive she showed us many of the features of the car, we were very impressed both with Karen and the car. Back at the lot we looked at other Sorentos with different features and also at the Sportages but had basically decided on the one we drove if the price was right. Back in the showroom Karen offered us water and then proceeded to fill out paperwork and price the car. Charlie Durham then worked on what the car would cost with incentives and our trade-in and after some bargaining with my husband we settled on the price. We decided to finance through Kia and worked with (?) Mike to work out the details. After signing considerable paperwork we had a brand new Sorento EX to drive home. All in all we had a VERY pleasant experience. At no time did we feel any pressure to commit to a purchase. Karen Cross was extremely easy to work with. She retrieved many keys for different cars to show us interiors and different features that other SUVs had. Karen moved cars in the lot so we could get a better perspective of them. She took pictures of the bumper guard we wanted installed so the correct one could be placed on the car. In the showroom she brought us bottles of water even though we had declined her initial offer. Charlie and Mike were also very friendly and knowledgable. When we were ready to head home everyone we passed in the showroom offered congratulations on our purchase. Karen accompanied us outside and helped us with the Bluetooth feature and also reminded us of other features the Sorento had. Almost too many to remember but I'm sure we'll get used to them. Kia of Chattanooga gets an A+ rating from us. Everyone who has seen the car is very impressed and we would recommend this dealership and especially Karen to friends interested in purchasing a new car. One last thing I forgot, the warranties on this car are impressive and are another reason we chose Kia.
