Plus, my son made a trip (from Peekskill) once it was ready to be installed but the manager wouldn't do the install because he didn't bring the old part. We should have been advised ahead of time that we needed to bring the old part. Therefore another trip had to be made. In the end it got done but overall it was not a good experience. More

Vehicle in for 3 recall services. I was made aware -by a letter - about a recall dealing with a software update. I was never informed about the other recalls and I realize that if I ha I was made aware -by a letter - about a recall dealing with a software update. I was never informed about the other recalls and I realize that if I had not come in for the first recall I probably would never have found out about the other two. On the day that the car was being serviced I received a call that it is recommended that since the car has 15,000 miles on it it should have a radiator flush and a brake fluid replacement. Are you kidding? If these fluids need to be replaced at 15,000 miles there is problem. Also, I was told that the air filter and cabin filter should be replaced. None of these "recommended" services were performed. I will look into the filters replacement in the near future. By the way I already had to top off the brake fluid. It seems that as the brakes wear the fluid level drops, Of all the cars that I have owned over the last 50 years this is the first time I have encountered this situation. In the future other than any further recalls that may come up - and hopefully I get informed of - I will be having the car serviced else were. Upselling at time of service to the tune of over $600.+ is unacceptable. More

Going back to Ramsey I made an appt for an oil change the day before my scheduled appt. I inquired about leaving my car and coming back vs staying and waiting. I was told that if I left my car would be serviced after everyone even walk ins because it wouldn’t be considered priority. Fast forward to the day of my appt. when I arrived I was told my car has a recall. This would take an extra 45 mins on top of my oil change. Person that made the appt. the day before failed to mention this. Fine. I asked about getting my car wash bc Everytime I have had my car serviced they tell me “the car washer is not in yet or backed up and that I could come back another day to sit and wait.” I was told again that if I wanted a car wash on top of my recall and oil change that would be 3 hours. Without the car wash maybe 1 hour and a half to 2 hours. I’m starting to think they don’t want to do the car wash because as I said it’s always an issue. My service advisor is also very rude and impatient. Needless to say I’ll be going back to Kia in Ramsey. Never any issues there. More
More trouble than its worth I purchased a Kia out of state and purchased a full bumper to bumper warranty. I made sure I would be able to have work done at any kia. We scheduled the apt took the car in, they did a diagnostic and then said you have to take it back to who you got it from b/c your warranty says take it to the seller. So we have to drive all the way back just to where we got it to get it serviced. To find out that Kia of WN should have done the work it states to bring it to the seller or call the number to find a local kia dealer. So today we went to Kia of WN to get the NYS Inspection b/c our registration had just come in. Now they knew they had just worked on the car that previous week. Well it failed inspection b/c there were not enough miles on it to reset the computer. So they charged me for the inspection anyway. They should have said hey it wont pass since you just had a system check.. So now I have to go back and pay yet again for a second inspection.. So frustrating.. More
