On 1-25-22 I made an appointment to check out a 2011 Chevy Cruze Ltz on 1-26-22 at 3:45PM upon arrival I was greeted by Ryan Peterson he made a copy of my license so I could take a test drive when he ca Chevy Cruze Ltz on 1-26-22 at 3:45PM upon arrival I was greeted by Ryan Peterson he made a copy of my license so I could take a test drive when he came back from making the copy he informed me another couple was test driving the Cruze and that he would get back to me soon about the car’s availability even though I had made an appointment the day before and confirmed it driving over 40 miles and 40 minutes away! What a great first impression of the dealership! As I sat in my chair anxious wondering if my car I drove all this way for was even going to be available for me to test drive let alone try to buy about 30 minutes goes by the couple sitting a few seats away from me could not find a co signer so the car was available THANK GOD they didn’t have a co signer so I had a chance of even checking the car out Ryan then took me on a test drive the car drove good I checked the undercarriage the exterior interior everything checked out for a 2011 car it looked pretty clean engine bay was even clean! After the test drive we talked numbers Ryan and I and they checked my credit and got me financed they offered me a warranty due to getting financed through capital one it racked on extra money per month each payment better safe then sorry you make say? I drove the car home could not wait to show my kids and wife how nice I thought it was the next morning I start the car to let it warm up it was very cold and the windows had frosted up when I started the car the engine was louder then it was I popped the hood open to find oil leaking from the valve cover gasket and a coolant hose swollen and the c clamp off it had lost all its coolant thank god my children were not in the car or I was on the highway or on a busy road! I shut the car off called the warranty company aul told them the whole story what was wrong they sent a tow truck and got it sent to a local Chevy dealership to get checked out the next day I get a call saying it needs the oil pan replaced the valve cover gasket and a oil line to the turbo the shop estimated parts labor taxes over $1100! I call the aul warranty company after I found this out to let them know what they had found and aul tells me sorry we can’t help you because only driving 130 miles since purchase would not make said repairs fail we here at aul deem this as pre existing conditions! My first thought is wow great didn’t even have the car for a week and it’s unsafe to drive and has so much work to be done! I call up East Hartford Kia tell them everything the Chevy dealership has said and aul has said and they said they can’t do anything for me and it’s on me to get it fixed and pay the money I will never be going to this dealership again after all this stress anxiety and unprofessionalism this has been the worst car buying experience ever they don’t want to help me or figure out a solution they are more than okay with selling a car to a customer that has issues and problems that should have been caught in there “safety checks and multi point inspection stating the car is safe and runs great” they don’t care about there customers or the safety of them either! Stay far away from East Hartford Kia they will take you across and don’t care what financial situation you are in very unwilling to help there “valued customers” i will be going to the BBB about this! This is absolutely crooked and not just at all More

My daughter's Kia keeps loosing battery power and I dropped the car on Thursday and requested them to trace the draw. They said it costs $150 to diagnose the draw. No one called me on Friday or Saturday and no one returned my calls. l called today 1/10/22 and I was told my battery is not good which l had already indicated. They said they needed a new battery to trace the source of the draw. They told me a new battery cost $350 which is rediculous. I adviced them to change the oil and leave the battery. When l went to pick the car up, they insisted on charging me for the diagnosis for the draw. I asked them if they were abke to identify the source of the draw and they said they could not trace it because l declined to buy a new battery. I asked them what they are charging me for and they said my battery is not good. This is day robbery and will take them on. East Hard Kia Service is a scam and desperate. More
