Dear Kia America and General Manager of Kia of Irvine, there is no point to call we already have been insulting enough but with a respect to you here is the story of what happened on Monday, April 17th, I visited with the intention of purchasing a vehicle and I told this to the first sales rap name Harold who informed me that the 2023 model of the vehicle I was interested in had a discount of $8,000. I confirmed with him multiple times to ensure that it was indeed the 2023 model that had the discount, and he confirmed that it was. Based on this information, I decided to purchase the 2023 model and consented to the salesperson running my credit report. However, after running my credit report, the salesperson came back to inform me that he had made a mistake and it was actually the 2022 model that had the $8,000 discount. This was very upsetting, as we had specifically asked him to confirm that it was the 2023 model that had the discount before making the purchase. When we requested to speak with the manager instead of the salesperson, the salesperson became very rude and disrespectful towards us, even going as far as to insult us and telling us to leave the dealership if we were not interested in buying a car. We persisted in our request to speak with the manager, but the salesperson continued to be loud and disrespectful. Eventually, his manager came and calmed him down, and apologized for his behavior. However, the damage had already been done, as I had allowed him to run my credit based on his misrepresentation of the facts, which led to a deduction of my creditworthiness. This is completely unacceptable and a violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act. I intend to report this incident to the Federal Trade Commission, and I am reaching out to you to express my disappointment with the conduct of your salesperson and to request that you take the necessary steps to address this matter. Hi Jeff, perhaps you could refund us the $1495 that was extorted out of us by your finance representative Refeek Nassief for the Theft Patrol service. Rafeek was very aggressive and was literally pounding on the table to try and intimidate us. The way we were treated was totally unprofessional and unacceptable. We plan to report the incident to the Better Business Bureau as well. If you mean any of what you wrote you will respond with an offer to cancel the Theft Patrol coverage and refund the $1495 that was added under false pretenses. Deceit and aggressive behavior should never be part of the sale of a vehicle.
