When I walked through the door I told our sales rep. that we were exploring the possibility of replacing our older model car with a late model used car, and we were considering a Kia Soul We patiently waite we were exploring the possibility of replacing our older model car with a late model used car, and we were considering a Kia Soul We patiently waited for her to find the keys and then looked at the vehicle. We then asked to look inside 2 other models to compare the cargo space. We declined a test drive, we declined an offer to evaluate the car we might be trading, we didn't ask for a credit check or a monthly payment amount. We just wanted to know the price of one car. When our rep. printed out the price sheet I asked if I could have a copy and she started in with the pressure sales tactics. I told her we were not prepared to make a decision on the spot, but we would consider it after we had a chance to discuss at home. She said she couldn't give me the original document, she would have to make a copy. She came back later with more high pressure tactics. WE HAD NOT ASKED TO NEGOTIATE THE PRICE OF THE CAR - WE JUST WANTED TO HAVE THE PRICING SHEET TO REVIEW AT HOME. Then she said she hadn't made the copy yet, and she left again. This time she came back with the sales manager and he started in with more arm twisting. He finally said I am here to help you and I said the only help I need is for you to hand me the copy of the pricing that I was told I could have 20 minutes ago. Then he said this is the original, we have to make a copy. It turns out the copy machine had been right behind me. Our rep. was a nice person who was new to the dealership, but she was already being taught to practice dishonest strong arm techniques. No wonder people are buying cars online. I wouldn't set foot in this dealership again if they had the last car on earth. More
