Came into the dealership to test drive a telluride. Had a great experience with the sales associate. He was knowledgeable, honest, and made me feel he had our best interest in mind. My wife and I were ready great experience with the sales associate. He was knowledgeable, honest, and made me feel he had our best interest in mind. My wife and I were ready to buy but were told by the sales manager (not the sales associate) that we had to use Kia financing to purchase the car even though I had financing through my bank. I would have used Kia financing but they could not beat the rate provided by my bank. The sale manager stated that they had not been paid by an external bank for a car purchase and that is why I must use Kia financing. He kept on saying that he needs his money. From a consumer stand point I was very disappointed. I was ready to put money down and purchase, but not at a higher interest rate through Kia financing. The last statement the sales manager made was that I was choosing a bank instead of the car. That was rude. I was choosing the best financing option. I am not sure if they are just trying to up their numbers for Kia financing but they lost my business. I have never heard of a dealership that doesn't take funds from an external bank. I am still committed to purchasing a telluride because we love the vehicle, but think twice about Kia North Austin. More
