I made an appointment, waited while work was completed. At the end I had a clean car, oil changed, alignment, and tires rotated. 1.5 hrs. I think that is great. At the end I had a clean car, oil changed, alignment, and tires rotated. 1.5 hrs. I think that is great. More

Service department is sub par. They aren’t that helpful with fixing issues and more concerned about protecting the bottom line of the dealership than about customer service. Zane May was extremely courteous and helpful. He explained everything as we walked through the process. The suggested services made sense, and the work was done faster than I expected. I don’t normally leave reviews, but I feel a responsibility to warn others about the experience my partner and I had at Kia of South Austin. We brought our car in for service and were met wit responsibility to warn others about the experience my partner and I had at Kia of South Austin. We brought our car in for service and were met with repeated dishonesty and vague, shifting explanations from the service manager. Despite our patience, it became clear that we were not being given the full story. When we calmly confronted the inconsistencies, the staff became evasive and defensive. My partner became frustrated in the service lobby (understandably), but at no point were we hostile or out of line. We just wanted transparency. The final straw came when we decided to tow our car to a trusted independent mechanic. Once we arrived at the new shop, we discovered that someone else’s car keys with a tracking fob had been left in our passenger seat. We never handled or requested these keys—they simply appeared in our car after leaving Kia South Austin. We immediately returned the keys because we didn’t want any confusion or entanglement. But the timing—right after we had told the dealership that their actions would be reported—made the situation extremely unsettling. Whether it was an accident or something more intentional, this was not okay. Between the gaslighting, the lack of accountability, and the deeply strange handling of customer property, we no longer feel safe trusting this dealership with our vehicle or our information. If you value integrity, transparency, and your personal safety—go somewhere else. More
