Disappointed in service. Had scheduled appointment for oil change but has 2 issues with car I discussed: 1. paint peeling on car that has 23,000 miles and 2. Frequency of Had scheduled appointment for oil change but has 2 issues with car I discussed: 1. paint peeling on car that has 23,000 miles and 2. Frequency of Error messages and warning lights displaying which are all different. Regarding paint issue: was told it was probably from chemicals from car wash or bird poop 🙄however, only on paint that is part of front light fixtures on both lights, not anywhere else. Told me company wouldn’t cover it without submitting claim or inquiring. Regarding error messages: said they’d have to keep car for a couple days to diagnose problem. Since I hadn’t planned for that, I would schedule another appointment to make arrangements to be without a car for that long. Later that day, my car wouldn’t start, called AAA who came and promptly checked battery from my description of problem (which was way less discussion than I had with Kia of Stockton) and it was my battery! They put in new battery and it was all good after that! Seems like the actual service department of a dealership would have been able to diagnose that quickly instead of a tow truck driver. Will have my Kia serviced at another Kia dealership as Kia of Stockton seemed to dismiss my concerns but made sure to upsell me on additional services other than oil change. More
