Lacking Professionalism and Honesty First, our username refers to our experience at Nemet Hyundai after the horrid experience we had with LIC Hyundai! Initially, we purchased a Certified First, our username refers to our experience at Nemet Hyundai after the horrid experience we had with LIC Hyundai! Initially, we purchased a Certified Pre-Owned car from LIC Hyundai. Despite the requirement of a 150 point inspection from the vehicle manufacturer to be sold as a CPO, the vehicle had not undergone an honest 150 point inspection (as evidenced by a review of the vehicle from an external mechanic). When approaching the service department about addressing this issue, they were helpful but only to the extent they had to be since we had proof. This review focuses mostly on the sales unit though, since the service folks did try to help somewhat. When trying to contact our sales person (Emileo) post-purchase, he was far less helpful than the day we bought the car from him. He promised to remedy the situations, and even address certain issues with the car himself- yet upon arrival as agreed, he did nothing to help. Additionally, we had to practically beg to get any form of paperwork related to the sale of the car (the 150 point inspection sheet, we were not given a bill of sale, no we owe form for the 3 year service contract, no CPO handbook or paperwork). We had the car nearly a month, and it was in the service department more than half of that time addressing costly repairs that should have been located during the 150 point inspection and handled before the car was ever sold to us. Recently, we traded the car in (and of course took the loss in value) to purchase a brand new Tuscon from Nemet Hyundai on Hillside Ave. We were totally disgusted by this dealerships CPO practice and could not find peace of mind with something going wrong in the vehicle every other day. If you have your heart set on a Hyundai, do yourself a favor and go to Nemet- ask for Jamie he has been wonderful pre and post- purchase! Even if you are purchasing a new car, and not a CPO car, ask yourself do you really want to support a business that is dishonest and does not value their customers? It is also noteworthy, that this is the FIRST time I have ever taken the time to give someone a bad review online. I tend to think "oh that person's experience won't be the same as mine so why bother." But I am so upset and utterly baffled by how this dealer does business, that I felt compelled to warn others. Luckily our story has a happy ending, with another dealership that we adore! More
