I don't know why I keep going back to this dealer for service.... I am done after the latest experience. Went in for an oil change and tire rotation. First off, the tech snapped my wheel stud. Tried service.... I am done after the latest experience. Went in for an oil change and tire rotation. First off, the tech snapped my wheel stud. Tried to say it was already broken???! If it were broken it would've fall off. They take no responsibility or ownership... Secondly, the tech came back with over $7k in recommended repairs! Said I had seepage at the timing cover and claimed the cam tower also showed "seepage." First of all there is a distinct difference between seepage and leaking. Secondly, there was not strong evidence the cam tower was showing seepage which is probably why they didn't push this issue. The evidence of timing cover seepage was suspect and largely looked like it was from oil spillage at the oil fill that leaked down. I degreased these areas and will confirm. The better question is, NONE of these possible signs are new, we're talking years, yet they NEVER came up during prior visits. Thirdly, they went on to recommend a bunch of money grabbing services on top of the $7k's in suggested repairs. Furthermore, the technician made a mess of the oil change and didn't bother to clean it up. The oil filter housing was covered in oil which collected on my skid plate. I'm not sure he replaced the crush washer and rubber o rings. I degreased it and will go back and check to make sure oil isn't leaking from the filter housing. This isnt the first time they have tried to fleece me. At one service, the tech said I needed to replace all of my coolant hoses because there was some seepage around the hose into the radiator. Well it turns out I didn't need new hoses, it only required a new clamp which I did myself for $9. The technicians are clearly compensated based on the work they sell. They will ALWAYS recommend the most extreme and not ironically the most expensive repair option to correct a perceived issue. The integrity of this dealer and the policies they have in place to push service sales are despicable and I can only imagine how they take advantage of less informed customers. More
