Absolutely terrible to deal with. They strictly follow the dealer handbook off simply trying to get you into the dealer, and then they'll throw all sorts of numbers at you, and fudge They strictly follow the dealer handbook off simply trying to get you into the dealer, and then they'll throw all sorts of numbers at you, and fudge the trade value, and stretch out financing etc. They also followed the code of calling three times before honoring my request for email. To be clear, I knew exactly what I wanted, model, trim, color, options. No trade. They had the car I wanted. I emailed to ask for the build sheet and a detailed out the door price. This is an easy and routine thing for any dealership to do. The rep (Mohammad Ali) gave me a sale price, different from the build sheet and told me + TTL. Just let me figure it out. I can do math, not the issue, the issue was they buried the market adjustment. Were never going to address it. Hounded and hounded and after at least 10 exchanges they gave me a breakdown. His reply was he does business with 100% honesty and because of the market, there's a markup. But would never address it until I forced his hand. Kept saying just come in and we'll work it out and you can see it and drive it. I again told him I'd seen it, I'm buying new, and I know what I want, I don't need to see it and won't be in unless we had a deal. Mohammad told me nobody is selling below MSRP, but he talked to his manager and they agreed to sell to me at MSRP. Yet another common dealer tactic, making you think they're doing something special for you. The following day, the sales manager, Jamal Khan, followed up with me. Said he was following up and asked when I could stop by to check it out. I told him if he'd read the sales person's emails, he'd know that wasn't happening, and what I want. He said he had read it and went on a tangent about the other dealer offering me below MSRP and warning me. (Had found what I wanted in Maryland at an excellent price, was beaten to the dealer and someone bought it, it was $1k under MSRP) I told Jamal I'm not concerned about the other dealer, and asked if he wanted to make a deal. He beat around the bush with yet another volley of emails. Again trying to get me to come in. Finally saying numerous emails later that MSRP was his best deal still, even though I said it was a non starter. And then said if I could come in we could work out a deal. I said no. I don't need to buy a car. And I certainly don't need to buy from them. He then started in with asking about a trade (none) or financing. I said it doesn't matter. He said it does and it could help make a deal (see here how they'd use a trade to make the OTD price seem sweeter). He then asked if I'm a recent college grad or military veteran. Both of these discounts are offered through Toyota North America. So again, they'd pretend they were helping me out. Jamal again ignored my email and just replied with come to our showroom, test drive, and we'll work out a deal. And he replied with, "we call presence a lenience," which anyone with half a brain knows is just so they can get you there and try to overwhelm the buyer and convince them they need this car and throw a bunch of numbers at them. Last thing Jamal told me was, "I am a salesman and its my job to sell. I offered you that I will make it little bit sweeter upon your arrival." I have been looking for a particular vehicle for a couple weeks. I'm in no rush. I've been in contact with at least 10 Toyota dealers in 4 different states. Mohammad and Jamal were inexplicably the most pushy, and least helpful, all rolled into one. Would not deal with. More
I wanted to take a few moments to recognize the exceptional assistance and support that both Mr. Alaaeldin Salem and Mr. Brad Smith provided during a recent vehicle purchase at Koons Tysons Toyota. exceptional assistance and support that both Mr. Alaaeldin Salem and Mr. Brad Smith provided during a recent vehicle purchase at Koons Tysons Toyota. From the onset of contacting Koons expressing interest in the vehicle, throughout the process of meeting and test driving to striking a tremendous deal I simply cannot say enough about the overall smooth process and professionalism that the many Koons staff members exhibited. This without a doubt made for one of the most stress-free vehicle purchases I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing (and I have purchased quite a few throughout the years) Furthermore, Mr. Smith relayed to me about additional cost savings for being a USAA/TrueCar member that military active duty and veterans are eligible to receive. No other dealer during my search had mentioned any cost savings for being a veteran, which to me really showed that Koons not only wants to provide potential buyers with the best deal possible but also looking out for our military members as well. I will ensure to share this Koons buying experience with fellow active duty and veteran friends and contacts searching for a vehicle. During the transaction, one issue came up that Koons was extremely attentive towards and took immediate corrective action to further make this buying experience a true pleasure, which you do not see much these days with car dealerships! This reflects that with Koons the buyer is not just another number going toward a monthly volume goal. With myself Koons will be my first stop on future vehicle purchases going forward. Thanks again for the extraordinary experience! More

I wish I had read these reviews before I took my car here. I had an emergency and needed to have my car towed to the closest dealer. Unfortunately, my experience here has made me never want to bother here. I had an emergency and needed to have my car towed to the closest dealer. Unfortunately, my experience here has made me never want to bother with Toyota again. I believe Jose my service provider was a liar and tried to play on my ignorance of cars to get more money out of me. Dealing with Krystle the CRM was a waste of time. Her customer service skills were just as bad as the service provider's. Stop letting this place treat you like crap. If it wasn't for the consumer, they would not be in business. If you have had an unresolved issue with them contact Virginia's State Attorney General to make a complaint. The form can be found here oag.state.va.us/consumer…. The form is very easy to fill out. Also, write Toyota Corporate Office to let them know about how this business treat their customers. Boycott them as well. Let all your friends, strangers, co-workers and family members know to steer clear away from this place. My regular dealership has been working on my car since I purchased it 8 years ago. I have never had an issue with my car after they completed a service on it. If you are someone especially a woman who has very little knowledge about car maintenance, please take someone with you who does if you have to frequent this awful service department. Businesses like this should not be able to function with impunity. They are not being held accountable that is why the service providers are rude and act like they are doing you a favor when you are the one paying them for a service. I am going to keep writing and reaching out for assistance to let this place know you can't play with people and their money. More

The first time I got my oil changed all the loose change in my car was stolen. The 2nd time the customer service person tried to make me pay for something and lied about calling Wheels to pay for it. I al in my car was stolen. The 2nd time the customer service person tried to make me pay for something and lied about calling Wheels to pay for it. I already had the expense approved so I knew he was lying and when I called wheels myself they said they absolutely cover the costs. I’m not impressed at all with Koons Toyota. More
