Koons of Westminister is a well established, well managed and down-to-earth dealership. You can walk in there feeling good that they will stand by the sale and give you a straight deal. I live in Columbia and tried to buy the vehicle closer to my home but my Father-in-Law, Joel Simonds, bought a car from Koons and said to call them. I emailed them for a quote on a new Camry. I then spoke with Jeff Schuette. He was extremely efficient and timely without being pushy. He was honest and, most importantly to me, he was trustworthy. The other dealers, I found out, were not giving me the whole truth. Everything Jeff said was nothing but the open truth. I should have started with Koons from the beginnning and the next Toyota I buy I will go directly to Koons. Their price ended up better than the other dealers in the end as well. After lots of on-line research for a new car, I started going to dealers for test drives. On the first day, I visited Koons Toyota in Westminster and one other dealer. The difference in "sales pressure" was quite noticable, with Koons coming out the clear winner for not "hustling" me, for asking me what I was really looking for in a car, explaining in detail and plain English all about the vehicle, its features, ratings, safety stats, options etc., and accompanying me on the test drive. I was able to pay attention to the feel and handling of the car, examine the interior details and actually enjoy driving the car without feeling pressured into a purchase right then and there. After test driving three other cars at different dealerships, I decided on Toyota. I did on-line comparisons of area Toyota dealers and requested on-line price quotes on the lower priced cars that fit my needs. Steve Schulman, at Koons Westminster Toyota, was very responsive and emailed that he had the exact car I wanted. Unfortunately, by the time I responded, that car had been sold. But Steve was friendly, helpful and enthusiastic about getting me the car I wanted, even though he did not have it on the lot. When I told him I had found the car at another Koons dealership, he said he would get it for me and at the internet price that was listed on the other dealer's web site. Simple as that. I was very demanding about knowing that the car had all the features I wanted and asking about any hidden prices that I may be presented with if I purchased the car. Steve answered all my questions, explained everything and provide answers right then and assured me that the price on-line was the price I would pay. I made an appointment to come see Steve, and I was greeted with the same friendly, no hassle attitude I had received in email and on the telephone. I was prepared to purchase that car if he could get it from the other dealership. That was on a Tuesday. On Saturday, Steve showed us the car went over all the features, and even programmed the navi system to get me back home and paired my cellphone to make it easier for me to program the system later. He took us to the service department and showed us where everything was and gave us business cards for the customer service rep and the service manager. We met with the finance guy who was just as friendly and low pressure as Steve. After about 2.5 hours, I was driving out of the dealership in my brand new car and it felt great!! Steve has called and emailed to make sure all is going well with the car and to remind me to call him if I have ANY questions. The entire experience at Koons Westminster Toyota was just great and I am really glad that I was able to purchase the car at my 'hometown' Toyota dealer and will be able to service it so close to home in the future. As a new resident in Westminster, I had not thought about finding an auto dealer/salesman until my son who is a student at University of Nevada, Las Vegas, needed a car to commute to school and work. I was a bit anxious since I had not dealt with anyone in Westminster before. However, I found the whole car buying experience at Koons Toyota to be exceptional. Ferd Maloney was an outstanding salesman--personable, knowledgeable and particularly helpful in determining the type of car that would be dependable and cost effective for a college student. I appreciated Ferd's honesty and insightful guidance throughout the purchasing process. Also, kudos to all the Koons staff and especially Jason for his assistance in obtaining financing. My son is now the proud owner of a 2009 red Toyota Corolla. Following the purchase, I drove the car to Las Vegas, it handled great and passed with flying colors a 2400 mile road trip. I have no doubts that my son will be driving this car throughout the remainder of his college career and beyond. For anyone new to the area or for the matter a long time resident and you looking for a new or used car, I highly recommend Koons Toyota. Koons of Westminster is a relatively new dealership and is close to our home. We went there and spoke with Terry Morehead, a new car saleman and liked him from the beginning and he was the main reason we p is close to our home. He made us feel confortable and asnswered all our questions. He was informed about the product and was able to relate with us. The staff above Terry was a little harder to deal with but they too were able to help the purchase go through. We could have gotten a truck from another close dealership but wanted the Toyota, the second dealership was more open and up front about prices, deals they were willing to offer and helpfullness. They were willing to make any reasonable deal and give us more for our trade-in. But, having said that, we wnated to Toyota Tacoma and therefore dealt with Koons. After the deal was struck, the finance personnel were great and helped us finish the paperwork and asked us questions and offered us services for our truck.
