Took my ‘16 Cherokee in for a software update and alignment quote. Was told I needed a tie-rod replacement to complete the alignment - Was quoted $1,100. Knowing that was high, I went to Napa on 224 alignment quote. Was told I needed a tie-rod replacement to complete the alignment - Was quoted $1,100. Knowing that was high, I went to Napa on 224. After Napa took a look, they noticed the front right tie-rod was loose, and just needed tightened - not replaced. He then completed the alignment at normal cost. Now, how would a certified Mopar mechanic not notice this in his “thorough” inspection of the tie-rods? Be careful when getting quoted from here, always look for a second opinion before handing over your credit card. More
