Car Buying Experience I purchased a used vehicle from Kunes Country in November 2016. My salesman was Mike Oberthaler. He was very welcoming right from the beginning, and I purchased a used vehicle from Kunes Country in November 2016. My salesman was Mike Oberthaler. He was very welcoming right from the beginning, and presented us with a no-pressure sales experience. My wife and I were both very pleased. He gave us time to talk with him and answer our questions, as well as the time alone with my wife to talk things over privately during negotiations. The rest of the management there was also very friendly and courteous. We were quick to settle on a very reasonable sales price, and they correctly fixed the two deficiencies we found on the car. Further, we were able to take delivery of the car on the day it was promised, with it cleaned up nicely, registration plates already affixed, and ready to go. Truly a hassle free truck buying experience I was looking for a new truck for several months. Doing my homework getting ready to do BATTLE. I felt very comfortable and enjoyed the experience. I was not originally looking for a truck but Mike gave me a call and said my truck was in demand. Bad Trade In Deal Experience I love my new Jeep but I feel I was taken for a ride on my trade in. They kept saying it was only worth $2000 in my area which is less than 45% of I love my new Jeep but I feel I was taken for a ride on my trade in. They kept saying it was only worth $2000 in my area which is less than 45% of what Kelly Blue Book rated mid range for it. Then i find out later they put it on the lot for almost $11,000!!! I feel I was cheated in this respect. KBB's mid range value of $4500 would have been more than fair, and this would have lowered my payments dramatically, even though they kept saying "this is the best we can do for you". I believe this falls into the category of unfair business practices! More
