I would love to write a good review for La Mesa RV in Port Saint Lucie, FL, but I’m sad to report that they really missed the mark for me. Every business school agrees that service organizations should m Port Saint Lucie, FL, but I’m sad to report that they really missed the mark for me. Every business school agrees that service organizations should make a practice of under promising and over delivering, La Mesa RV seems to have missed that class. Unfortunately, their sense of urgency and complete lack of responsiveness have caused me to lose any confidence in them. I first started seeking some help with a variety of warranty issues, non-warranty repairs and several desired upgrades, back in the early part of December last year. After a couple of weeks of waiting without getting any returned phone calls or emails I contacted Winnebago support and they escalated the situation on by behalf. A La Mesa executive called to apologize and to assure me that he would get things moving, and that call was appreciated, but his local team subsequently dropped the ball. I provided my list of warranty problems, desired repairs, and the various upgrade requests and all of these were documented in writing by my assigned service advisor, Dave. Dave promised to come back quickly with estimates on the upgrades, and indicated that the shop foreman, Scott, would be calling me to discuss everything. I never did receive any calls from Scott. One of the warranty work items was the replacement of a damaged coach door. Apparently, that part was on back-order and delayed for a few weeks, but to minimize overall time in the shop, I asked Dave to please have his team at least get started on the other work items, and he assured me that they would get right on everything, rather than waiting for the door to arrive before starting the work. Over a month after I first took the RV to La Mesa, however, they still hadn’t even touched it. Eventually, the door did arrive and finally they started actually working on my list of items. In the end, most of the work that La Mesa did do, wasn’t all that bad. The technicians neglected, however, to tighten some bolts on my coach door which left an unacceptable open gap around the side and bottom, but I was able to fix that myself. Unfortunately, La Mesa completely ignored most of my other upgrade and non-warranty repair requests (solar upgrade, rear view camera installation, chassis hood support repair, etc.). I never did receive any quotes or updates on any of those items. I guess that my biggest complaint with La Mesa, though, is the inexcusably poor communication over what was, or was not happening with my RV. Apparently, my service advisor was out sick for a couple of weeks, and while I understand that those things do happen, it’s no excuse for just halting work on a customer’s coach, without at least calling to explain the situation. After reaching out to La Mesa’s customer support desk to ask if Dave was still working there, his “backup” finally gave me call. He was nice, but he seemed a bit clueless and ultimately nothing progressed during that time. When I finally picked up my RV a couple of weeks ago, I requested one additional quote for a towing set-up for my RV and Jeep. So far, and despite a few follow-up reminders, I haven’t received anything. Either these guys are too busy, terribly short-staffed, or just plain incompetent, I don’t know, but they certainly aren’t doing anything good for the La Mesa brand. Word travels quickly these days and reputation is everything. Honestly, what La Mesa needs is for a real business person to come in and clean house. More
No Sales support, No service at all, won't even return calls I purchased a practically new 2018 Class A motor home from LaMesa RV on July 20th 2020. So far this has been the worst experience I have ever had in I purchased a practically new 2018 Class A motor home from LaMesa RV on July 20th 2020. So far this has been the worst experience I have ever had in my 30+ years of RV ownership. The coach as a severe carbon monoxide leak and I can't get anyone at LaMesa RV to even talk to me. If you're able to get anyone to answer the phone, they forward the call to the voice mail for a supposed service advisor that NEVER returns the call. They talk the talk about customer service, but I have never experienced any company as bad as LaMesa RV is in Port St. Lucie. BUYER BEWARE! More
Bought a brand new 2014 Itasca Suncruiser from La Mesa in Tucson...nothing but trouble. Wouldn't start on day 2 of ownership, took it back and they found a cracked electrical component causing a short. Fir Tucson...nothing but trouble. Wouldn't start on day 2 of ownership, took it back and they found a cracked electrical component causing a short. First checkout trip the black and grey waste valve manifold fell off while driving, got home and what a crappy mess it was. Took it back. Got the coach then drove from AZ to WY...generator failed as we departed Tucson. Once I connected to shore power that night the thermostat failed. A day or two later we arrived somewhere in UT and that manifold fell off again, another crappy mess! And it's not like I was driving around with full tanks, just what you would accumulate from a family of four while driving all day and taking rest stops. I had all the issues addressed when I returned home...they had to charge me to replace the "gummed up" carburetor on the generator because as they told me that sort of thing was not covered under warranty...funny, it was a brand new RV! I asked to provide me the old carburetor and they agreed, but when I came to pick it up, they said the tech had gotten rid of it. So I decided to trust but verify, I fired up the generator on the drive home and within 10 minutes it failed again. After a prolonged service call, like weeks, they decided that the issue was that the generator was overheating from the exhaust system and from the road heat, mind you as I was running it I did not have a heavy load at all. They fussed over who was going to pay for the installation of a heat shield, I ended up complaining enough they took care of it. They never refunded me on the bogus carburetor replacement. To keep it from gumming up I regularly run the generator for about an hour each month and run both AC units, it has worked well while sitting in my driveway, but on every trip EVER taken in this RV since 2015 the generator shuts down before we can even reach the freeway. The cute little couch has fallen apart a few times. Only held together with a few stubby wood screws...putting any pressure on the couch arms at all resulted in pulling those screws out. Had it fixed twice, still fails so I just said forget it, I have a couch with no sides...so frustrating. I recently encountered a problem with the LCI Electronic Leveling system...so I took it back and to the time of $3200 they replaced a fair amount of the system, fast forward six weeks and here I sit tonight with again a malfunctioning leveling system, a rear jack that dropped while driving (it was definitely up when I left this am) and to top it all off, one of the Coleman AC units failed (which is the reason I cut this trip short) and I am sweating it out in Van Horn, TX in July! So at this very moment I have a dead compressor on the AC unit, a leveling system that is completly malfunctioning, a rear jack that has dropped and since the controller is reporting an error it doesn't seem like I have a good option to raise that Jack, all the other Jack's are fully retracted and that pesky generator failed literally right as I was ready to pull out of my driveway...so there you go...let's see if La Mesa RV can satisfy me by bringing this lemon up to snuff at no charge. I have learned my lesson on this one, I was the nice guy who just kept going with what they would tell me and it has now been 5 years, I am still making payments and it has NEVER been fully operational. It would seem I have been stuck with a lemon! If La Mesa decides to belly up to the bar and make this thing right I will be happy to give them a better review...I have an appt scheduled in a few days to discuss the service history, recent repairs and current major system failures. Let's see if they will even be willing to talk to me about this mess. More

We had a signed agreement to order a new fifth wheel that included an out the door price with trade value assigned. I provided more than 30 pictures and disclosed information on my trade that they didn’t even ask for. After 4 months our new fifth wheel arrived and we traveled more than 500 miles for delivery. Following our PDI, halfway through the paperwork in the finance department, we were informed that their wholesaler would not pay enough for our trade and that the only way they were going to allow us to take delivery was for us to pay $2,000 in addition to the amount in our written contract. After all that we went through, I reluctantly paid the additional amount. We later learned that due to COVID, the wholesale market for used RV’s was down 50%...is that our fault? I guess written agreements mean nothing to this dealership when they know they can hold you hostage at the last minute. NEVER AGAIN. More
My experience with La Mesa has been the worst. I have been waiting 6 months for parts to come in. By the time they come in my warranty will have expired. I have surrendered my RV for repairs with Mark th been waiting 6 months for parts to come in. By the time they come in my warranty will have expired. I have surrendered my RV for repairs with Mark three separate occasions, the only repairs were simple repairs that did not require new parts. Now I am experiencing prolems with the hitch they installed. I have made three separate phone calls where I had to leave messages and as expected no one returned my calls. I am considering hiring an attorney regarding the lemon law. More

We had 4 issues that needed fixing and were told they’d be fixed upon pick up. Nothing was done! Biggest issue was alignment needed fixing. On the way home after picking it up, it drove exactly the same. Called LaMesa Tucson where we purchased it from when we got home. Ryan told us it had been sent out and it was aligned. What? It drove horrible on the way home. We took it elsewhere to be aligned and specifications were way off. Shop aligned it. It’s 90%better. We took the bill and the before and after specifications of the alignment and asked to be reimbursed. We just were told that Hennessy the service manager will not approve reimbursement because we didn’t give them a chance to fix it. What?! You were given the chance and we were lied too. We will never buy from them again. Happy our salesman told us he’d be there after the sale to help with any issues. Ummm, Happy you’ve disappeared. Kipp and Darlene Gottwald More

I brought it in perfect and they ran a forklift into the back door and damaged a brand new 112k motorhome. He swears it was damaged when we brought it in. Liar. Next. I brought it into Melisa to have the dead radio and inverter fixed. I waited two weeks and then was told it was good to go. Hired an uber driver again and showed up to be told that the back up camera does not work but they will send a mobile technician to fix it. That was two weeks ago. Still no back up camera, no technician to fix it, no inverter. I was given a invoice that says all is good to go. FYI, there labor rate is $195.00 per hour. More
