Mr.Ware, please call me when you have time to speak about this review. I did investigate this with our service team and the tech explained to me that he was attempting to save you money by replacing the turbo related parts that he felt like could cause the turbo not to perform like it should. The tu rbo was a vey expensive replacement and he was hoping not to have to do that. In the end, the turbo was bad and the parts and labor time that he spent on your Veloster we Comped and the dealership absorbed over $1200 worth of repairs for a missed diagnosis. You were not charged because we do care about our reputation and customers. I am the owner of the dealership and would like to speak with you about your review. Cam Stewart-704-591-8800

The parts that were replaced were examined by a certified mechanic with over 26 years experience. These parts replaced by your mechanic were found to be in good mechanical working condition. These parts were in no way a contributing factor to the turbo being bad as explained by your mechanic and service advisor. Both the mechanic that evaluated the parts and the mechanic at Meineke stated these parts did not need to be replaced. The fact is your mechanic misdiagnosed the parts that were replaced and stuck by his diagnosis because he wouldn’t admit he was wrong. Then Colby your service advisor tried to tell me those parts were a contributing factor not the actual problem. He was recorded saying the problem was indeed the intake manifold and this would resolve the issue and that it wasn't the turbo several times. When the intake didn't solve the issue he then told me it was the waste gate valve which it wasn’t. Then I was the one who had to keep reaching out because your advisor was to unprofessional to let me know yet again the issue wasn’t resolved. Then Rob, your service manager had the audacity to try and have me pay for half the repairs on parts not needing to be replaced. The reason you say that your dealership comped me the parts and repairs was not out of a courtesy but because all my incoming and outgoing calls are recorded and I had your service advisor on recoding stating these parts were indeed the issue and not the turbo and end the end it was definitely the turbo. I was the one who explained to Rob I was not paying for the misdiagnosed repairs. I also stated to Rob that I would be filing a complaint through the Attorney General's office if there was an issue on this. Please don't make a comment in your reply about being courteous when it came to absorbing parts and labor when indeed that wasn't the case. Then you state in your response that your dealership was trying to save me money by replacing the parts that didn't need to be replaced. How is that saving me money if I have to pay for the misdiagnosed parts/labor and then the cost of the turbo and labor? By doing that I would have paid an extra $1200 on top of the repair that actually need to be repaired? If you truly care about your dealership than you would realize my review is one of many in regards to not only the service department but also your sales department. I would suggest hiring a team of people who truly care about their jobs and the reputation of your dealership.

The shop is very busy but we do try to accommodate walk in customers also during the day. The time delay was due to the walk ins having additional services performed during their visit. Your name was the only option in the box so I put that because something has to be summited. I have no need to talk with the dealership I have found a wonderful Hyundai at another dealership where the system was set up much more customer friendly. I have wasted more than enough time with you all and it resulted in nothing more than trouble. Please fix whatever you have going on at your dealership it is not how a business should be run.
