I got what I would consider a more than fair price for my trade-in and had a lot of fun in the process. Before I can praise one dealer I want to compare the others…I have been driving a Toyota Solara for many years, so you would think that shopping at a Toyota dealership would be a no brainer…this was not the case. When I drove onto the lot, we were attacked by the vultures, as they wait for the fresh kill. I had my car (the trade-in) and wanted to test drive something we had seen on the lot, simple yes (no)…20 minutes (maybe more) and I never got near the car I was interested in, also I have a special needs daughter and she was in tears by the time we left…(let’s just say never again) Next we started looking at the 2013 VW bug, we had been to this dealership 3 times and talked to the same person each time. One Saturday, I called and asked “if I arrive in 20 minutes, can I test drive the car?” the answer was yes, but when we got there I was told no car was available…I spent 10 minutes talking to sales person, only to find we were not even on the same page as far as what I was looking for (sad). Finally they pulled the car from the showroom, and I was instructed on the route that I was expected to take as a test drive (basically around the block, are you kidding?) when we got back it was still apparent, that he and I were not on the same page… (Never again) Discouraged and beaten I went to Lamoureux Ford, we had recently purchased my wife’s vehicle there and we have been more than satisfied with the experience and the service. But I knew my options for a convertible were limited when considering a Ford. Working with John, we discussed my option not only with Ford products but also with other makes and models. I felt as if John was not looking to sell me just a car, but the right vehicle for me. When I was encouraged to take vehicles (more than one) for a test drives…it was not around the block, they were much more extended rides, at one point I had a car so long, I felt guilty…but I also had time to learn all I needed to know. For example, the car handled good on the highway, the airflow was good with the top down, the cup holder held my favorite cup, my gear fit in the trunk, I was able to fit the dog harness in without issue, the radio locked into my favorite station, the visor remote is compatible with my garage opener, the phone works with the voice sync… When I got back to the Lamoureux, I was able to talk to John about the car I wanted, never once did I feel like I was settling, or being pressured into something that just wasn’t right for me. Let me talk about my daughter for a minute, she is a big part of this process. When I’m not alone in the car, chances are Sarah will be the person with me. Sarah has special needs and is not always understood by the people we interact with. This was obvious, at the Toyota dealer, where she broke down and cried, being over stimulated by the noise, the swarm of attention and all the delays. At Lamoureux Ford, John Boxshus included Sarah whenever possible. He went out of his way to make her voice and her needs heard. It was fun watching the two interact as we went over features. It was also nice knowing that Sarah felt like she was getting a new car; after all she helped pick it out. So I did buy a car, and as of today I’m very happy. But I also want to talk about service, not with this car. But with our others, my oldest daughter is in collage, car safety is very important to me. Prior to heading back to school my daughter took to a local service station for oil change and a safety inspection. When we got the car back we discovered (they did not tell us) the windshield wiper motor was broken and when we called, we were told they didn’t have time to fix it. I brought the car Lamoureux Ford where I asked for the wiper motor to be fixed and for another safety inspection. I was called that afternoon from the service department, letting me know the battery was end of life and parts were on order for the wiper motor. When I picked the car up I was given a complete list of what was inspected and current condition such as break wear. My daughter lives on campus; her safety is my number one priority…thank you Lamoureux Ford, thank you John Boxshus. More

It is the most friendly, honest, reliable car dealership we have ever dealt with. We have always worked with John Boxshus when buying cars and he is terrific. The service staff is all top notch. They will gladly explain what is needed and whether a need is urgent or just recommended for a future time. I have never had them try to provide unnecessary service. In fact a couple of times when we thought something large (and expensive) was wrong they found it was a relatively minor problem. I cannot recommend them highly enough. More
