My family has driven Toyotas perfectly happily for 15 years now In case you are wondering, I am a genuine customer and I have a story I want to share. My family has driven Toyotas perfectly happily for 15 years now, and when my car came for replacement we visited them as usual. Toyota had grown arrogant, and did not even put me in the car they were supposed to. Went to Honda, which was over-priced and under-performed. Checked in with Hyundai and Scott was amazing - not a hard seller, calmly answered my questions and then asked Matt to help out with other more specific questions. The best way I can describe the culture at this specific dealership is friendly without the fake 'over-familiarity' that is terribly insincere. After several test drives I bought a car from them 2 days later, and they jumped through hoops to make me delighted. And I mean delighted, not just happy. I never expected to convert to Hyundai, but they have a great product, great price, but the differentiator was the pre-sales service which was consultative, friendly and professional. It might be just me but I have seen this before in other organizations and it is a direct reflection of the senior manager. In the case of Toyota the manager could not even be bothered to leave his glass room, whereas at LCM Hyundai he reached into his pocket and handed me his own car keys and said 'please, take it for a spin and tell me what you think.' It is this level of sincerity and care that makes humans different, and organizations are nothing more than a collection of humans. Congratulations Hyundai, and LCM, and I wish you all the best. Now I am looking forward to my post-sales experience which I have heard is even more astounding - I will post an update after my first visit! More
