I recently bought a new Range Rover at Land Rover Fort Lauderdale and the service was excellent! I have bought many cars from many different dealers and this was the best experience! My major complaint wi Lauderdale and the service was excellent! I have bought many cars from many different dealers and this was the best experience! My major complaint with other dealers was that none of them would sell me a car without adding an extra 10-15,000 dollar "markup". I was told that the cars are selling for over "MSRP" because they are in limited supply. Land Rover Fort Lauderdale was not playing that game! They were honest and sold me the car with no additional "markup". I want to thank Victor and the team for their service. I had a great experience! Looking forward to buying another car in the future. But now, as I’m standing at the service desk with no other options, I’m told about it. That should have been my first red flag, and I should have walked out then and there. But I had already rented a car and was determined to move forward. The diagnostic fee was insane—over $600 just to look at the car—and they wouldn’t even credit that money toward the repair! Frustrated, I deleted the sunroof complaint entirely. I told them, “Forget the sunroof. It’s not leaking right now, and I don’t see any issues with it.” Because I removed the third complaint, the diagnostic fee was reduced from $600 to $300. Still annoyed but wanting to move forward, I decided to proceed with just the two remaining complaints: the key fob I purchased from them and the ticking sound in my engine. Two days later, the service advisor called and left me a voicemail, telling me they needed to fix my sunroof—again with the sunroof nonsense! He claimed it was leaking, water got into the car, and all my mats were wet and had to be taken out to dry. What this genius failed to realize is that my mats are rubber. They’re not even the type that can absorb water. I called him back and asked about the actual issues I brought the car in for: the key fob and the ticking sound in my engine. His exact response? The key wasn’t working because water from the sunroof leak got into a security module inside the car. As for the engine ticking? He admitted he didn’t even look at it because I hadn’t “paid for that.” And then, the real kicker: he told me fixing the sunroof would cost either $15,000 replace or a “cheaper” option of $6,000 repair - neither of which would be guaranteed or come with a warranty. Are you kidding me? This is, without a doubt, the shadiest, most unethical, manipulative, and disgusting service department I have ever dealt with. I’m appalled, furious, and deeply disappointed. How can a dealership of this supposed caliber operate like this? To top it off, when I dared to question him about all of this, he became flustered, told me he “had to go,” and hung up on me as I was speaking. RUDE!!! If I could call Channel 7 News and expose this place, I would, and believe me, I’m writing to Help Me Howard Next! I’m warning anyone reading this: DO NOT take your car here. They will lie to you, jerk you around, and try to charge you for things that don’t even exist. This experience has made me so disillusioned that I don’t even want to own a Range Rover anymore. I’ve owned BMW for the greater part of my life. This is the first time I own a Range Rover, a decision I will live to regret :-( Currently waiting for a Madison Seeberg to call me back. I was told she’s a manager there…. More to come More
