I purchased a 2015 Range Rover (RR) from Land Rover Norwood (Massachusetts) as Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) vehicle in August 2019. As of this review I have owned the vehicle for ~ 20 months and have logg Norwood (Massachusetts) as Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) vehicle in August 2019. As of this review I have owned the vehicle for ~ 20 months and have logged 3,000 miles. The CPO warranty period for six, which was not disclosed until I arrived at the dealership. My assumption was that CPO warranties extend the factory bumper to bumper warranty for a full year. That was not the case. As noted, the warranty was six months and excluded a number of items”. Given RR’s temperamental nature, I purchased a “wraparound” warranty for an additional year. I was told by the F&I manager that this warranty the same as the factory warranty; however, this was not the case, and I didn’t find out until I tried to use the warranty some months later. When I inquired and voiced my concern, I was told that the warranty was better. Within the first 90 days of ownership, the battery died, which the dealership replaced, the sunroof motor had to be replaced, and the speakers were rattling and subsequently replaced. The $4,000.00 deployable running boards (factory installed option) have never worked option but they are not covered by either warranty. I purchased a CPO vehicle, which comes with a premium because it was supported to adhere to “strict, exacting, standards”. That was not the case here. Many of the so called inspection points are those that I would expect any used car to adhere to, there was evident of clear coat on the door but the product specialist didn’t think here had been any work done on the door, over the next few months, I noticed that the bumper had been painted. I guess that is not atypical, but after scratched the bumper, I notice that bumper pain was slightly off, which was confirmed by three body shops. And, each of the items that were replaced (or not) under warranty were identified within the first month of ownership. More
