In April I took my 24 4Runner to them for the 10K service. When I scheduled the appt and when I dropped it off I told them specifically "Do not do the oil change. I will do that myself." The internet is full of complaints about Toyota techs messing up skid plate bolts) What did they do anyway? Changed the oil. When I complained that day I was told "Well you can still go ahead and change it again if you want." I definitely should've checked the bolts but I gave them the benefit of the doubt) What did I find today when I started the 15K oil change? 1 skid plate bolt stripped, 2 loose and 1 missing completely. Called at 930 and 1030, left msgs asking to speak with the Service Mgr, it's now 1330 and still no call back. *They did not honor my request to leave the oil alone. *The tech had to know the bolt didn't go in correctly because it would not & will not tighten down all the way. * It been over 4 hours since my first phone call and still no return call. Overall a disrespectful experience with this dealership More
I had a low pressure fuel pump recall and found out later that the fuel tube didnt get connected to the tank during repair....I was filling tank a few days later and fuel was running out from under my truck. that the fuel tube didnt get connected to the tank during repair....I was filling tank a few days later and fuel was running out from under my truck.
