BAIT AND SWITCH PRICING — READ BEFORE YOU VISIT I was interested in a car from Largo Honda. They claim to promote one price on their websites with no disclaimers. Simple enough until I actually tried to interested in a car from Largo Honda. They claim to promote one price on their websites with no disclaimers. Simple enough until I actually tried to buy the car. I requested a full written price breakdown multiple times from Belle. She refused every single time. No offer sheet. No itemized quote. Just vague responses and pressure to come into the store. She then handed me off to a Sales Consultant without resolving anything. I texted this Sales Consultant clearly and professionally stating I would not drive over an hour to the dealership without locked-in pricing, and that I would not pay for any add-ons not listed in the advertisement — no LoJack, no Permaplate, no Gap Insurance, no Maintenance Plans. This Sales Consultant called me and — before I could even bring up pricing — volunteered: "In the sake of saving time, I want to be upfront with you. We charge a LoJack and Permaplate fee on this car." I asked if these were mandatory. He said YES called them "options already installed on the vehicle." I told him this was deceptive pricing. He denied it. I ended the call. I then texted this Sales Consultant to get this in writing: "Just to clarify, you will not sell the car without Permaplate and LoJack being included in the sale." His response? "I have no idea what you're talking about sir." This is a textbook bait-and-switch. The advertised price is NOT the price you will pay. They refuse to provide written price breakdowns to avoid a paper trail. And when confronted, they will deny. I have filed a complaint with the FTC under the CARS Rule, which specifically prohibits this type of mandatory undisclosed add-on pricing. STAY AWAY!! Find a dealership that will respect you as a client and follow the rules of the FTC. More
This dealership operates with extremely poor transparency and questionable business practices. I called ahead to confirm a vehicle was available, was told it was on-site, and was encouraged to come in. When and questionable business practices. I called ahead to confirm a vehicle was available, was told it was on-site, and was encouraged to come in. When I arrived, I was informed the car was not even there because a manager had taken it home. That’s unacceptable and a complete waste of a customer’s time. The pricing was even worse. A vehicle listed at $35,790 somehow turned into a $44,000+ out-the-door quote. That $9,000 jump came from inflated fees and unwanted add-ons like LoJack, paint protection, and other charges that were never requested. Even the tax figures didn’t align with the advertised price. This is a classic bait-and-switch operation—low advertised prices used to lure customers in, followed by heavily padded final numbers. I would strongly advise anyone to avoid this dealership. More
Disappointed I cannot give a 0 Star Review! Largo Honda has a great selection of inventory and low prices. What they lack is transparency and business ethics. Summary: Hidden Fees! The p Largo Honda has a great selection of inventory and low prices. What they lack is transparency and business ethics. Summary: Hidden Fees! The price brings you in and the fees keep their pockets flush. Even if you read the fine print, there is information hidden away. BUYER BEWARE My salesman Joseph was great in showing me the vehicle, had great product knowledge, and was a pleasure to deal with. I quickly discovered that all used cars at Largo Honda are equipped with LoJack for the additional price of $2000. Good luck finding that in the online listing. As well as a $1200 dealer fee. I agreed to pay these fees and was content with my trade offer, and signed at the negotiated loan balance price. Next in the finance office I was informed that there are a few warranty and protection plans added into my deal. A wheel and tire protection package, lifetime maintenance plan, and a bumper to bumper warranty for CPOs, and can’t forget everyone’s favorite key fob warranty. I declined these protections which totaled to over $5000 in added cost. My credit had already been tapped as I had agreed to borrow the balance on the page which I signed. After declining the warranties, the deal I had signed was now pulled and the negotiation killed. Unfortunately the same can’t be said for the inquiry on my credit. I have financed a number of cars in my life and have never been forced to add on warranties to maintain the agreed upon price. The finance manager Juan Velez informed me that this was “just the car business” but I must disagree as an enthusiast and active market participant. Sales manager Bruno Perez was extremely condescending in negotiations and quick to veto the same deal he himself signed off on. If you value your time and money please stay away from doing business at Largo Honda and any Lithia and Driveway dealer. If you come to one of these dealers be sure to add atleast $7,000 in fees to the listed price with the “Lithia difference”. I will be purchasing my Honda Accord from a much more ethical business establishment and pray to never see a vehicle I’m in the market for at Largo Honda. More
I had a very disappointing experience with Dantony from the finance department at Largo Honda. During the purchase of my vehicle, he told us that several optional add-on products — GAP insurance, a maintenance plan, and a service contract — were required in order to “get the deal,” and that we should wait six months to cancel them to receive a full refund. This is completely misleading. These products are optional, and no dealership should pressure or misrepresent them as mandatory. I later learned the truth and had to return to request cancellations for items that should never have been forced into the deal in the first place. A car purchase should be honest and transparent, not filled with pressure tactics or misinformation. Customers deserve straightforward financing without being told they must buy add-ons to complete the sale. I hope management addresses this behavior, because no one else should have to go through the same experience. More

I specifically asked about this feature because it was important to me for safety and theft prevention. They assured me multiple times that the LoJack was included and ready to go. Fast forward a short time later — my car was stolen, and when I contacted LoJack, I was informed that no device had ever been installed on my vehicle. I immediately reached out to the dealership, and since then, it’s been nothing but silence. They refuse to return my calls or respond to my messages, and no one will take responsibility for their false promises. This experience has been stressful, costly, and incredibly frustrating. I trusted this dealership, and they completely failed to deliver what they sold me. I would strongly advise anyone considering buying a car here to get everything verified in writing and double-check all features before you leave the lot. Dishonesty and lack of accountability like this are unacceptable. More

It was the ability to listen to what we were looking for which was a good lease program with a manageable monthly payment that made him get the business from us. Felix the Finance Manager was also excellent and had a great attitude. All the details were clear and we had a pleasant experience. If the good deals continue, I may go back in the future for another Honda. More
