Since my Google review has been censored, here it is: Went in for a 2022 4Runner priced at $43,498 on Toyota website, interacted with Hiram, the general sales manager, and Eddy, the salesperson. Fi is: Went in for a 2022 4Runner priced at $43,498 on Toyota website, interacted with Hiram, the general sales manager, and Eddy, the salesperson. First, they came back for our trade in offer, $27k. We had already gone to Toyota Santa Fe earlier that day, but they didn’t have a 4Runner we preferred. Our trade in offer there was $31k. We mentioned this to Toyota Miller on the phone and in person, which they agreed to on the phone and said they’d match and try to get us to $32k. Second, they came back and told us we were getting a huge discount on the 2022 4Runner because it was “priced” at $47k or so and on paper told us lowest possible was $44k or so. And the numbers didn’t stay consistent. They didn’t acknowledge the price online until we told them about 2-3 extra times, on top of already had spoken on the phone about this. Our balance was $18k out the door with trade in. We told them, we can pay $16k out the door with trade in for a brand new 2024 4Runner TRD Premium in Toyota Santa Fe, because they ran the numbers too, but we were only looking to spend $10k and we were okay with a used one. We were up front about this to Toyota Miller and they agreed to work with us on the phone. They tried to argue that KDSS is worth the price tag for this used vehicle. I didn’t have the info on hand, I looked into it when I left: you can pay average extra $1750 for KDSS (I understand the logistics), although, we’re not going off-roading to even care for it. I was ready to leave and Hiram came into the picture. I asked him, what is up with this whole charade? He didn’t answer. He “wanted us to leave happy” but it’s like our sentences kept going in one ear and out the other. Hiram mentioned online price is the lowest they can go, which I doubt, but if so, then they could have started there instead of playing a game. Anyway, Hiram finished with: “I (as in me) must not have common sense to understand” that a 2022 4Runner TRD Premium, 26k miles, with KDSS is priced $2000 more than a brand new 2024 4Runner TRD Premium, with three miles, with LED headlights/beams/tailgate, TRD Crawl Control, and Hill Start Assist Control, to name a few. They failed to equally compare the two cars. Please give me all the facts between the two if you want to compare. I told him we were done here and walked out. Hiram, I have more than common sense. I have a degree in Mechanical Engineering and have taken 5- and 8-hour state engineering tests. Very insulting to say the least. Especially towards a woman, minority, and mom, about cars. To summarize: 1. We told Toyota Miller on the phone that Toyota Santa Fe offered $31k and Toyota Miller told us they’ll match and try to get to $32k, and came back with $27k. 2. 2022 4Runner was $43.5k online, Toyota Miller wanted to make it seem like we were getting a deal by adding few thousand dollars to MSRP and then discounting it, never getting to $43.5k online price. 3. Justification for 2022 4Runner being $2000 more than 2024 4Runner was the KDSS, failing to mention that the 2024 4Runner had all other extras they didn’t account for when trying to make this argument. 4. Valet; Sean was pleasant, competent, and professional. I dropped our 2020 Tacoma off for service. He gave me his card with the QR Code for a review. However, he forgot to inform the service advisor, Martin, that the battery for my key fob needs replacing. The scheduled maintenance was completed in a timely fashion. Martin texted me when it was complete. He too was pleasant, competent and professional. When I picked the vehicle up, Martin informed me that the complimentary inspection did not detect any issues. However, he did not provide me with a printed inspection report. He also gave me a QR Code card to complete a review. Neither of the QR Code cards provided linked me to an open page to complete a review. They both brought me to a prior Google review of the dealership.
