Back in August, my 2019 Tacoma's check engine light came on. I called American Toyota immediately and they scheduled me the first available appointment. This appointment was with Mel Rosas who explained to on. I called American Toyota immediately and they scheduled me the first available appointment. This appointment was with Mel Rosas who explained to me that the check engine light was because of the fuel pump recall. At the time, Toyota had no remedy so he said he would call me three weeks from that week in mid-August about fixing the vehicle. I received no call. I didn't call because I knew Toyota had no remedy. When the remedy became available now in October, I called the number on the card that Mel Rosas's highlighted, his direct business line. He told me that my vehicle could come in on Monday 10/5 to have the repair. Shortly after, I received another call from the service receptionist stating that the repair couldn't be done that early and to wait until mid-October. So, I brought my vehicle in on 10/8 for the 30,000 mile service which I scheduled with Mel Rosas since I had been working with him. When I arrived at Mel's desk, he immediately began acting rude towards me and acting as if I was bothering him. I asked about the fuel pump recall and he stated "unless my truck had a check engine light on, they wouldn't be able to repair it," even though I explained how my truck had a lack of power and was stalling. He continued to get frustrated with me to the point where he slammed his chair into his desk and said, "I'll get you a new advisor, I'm done working with you." I have NEVER been treated so rudely by any service employee of any kind. A simple question turned into his disrespect for myself and even a rage attack that embarrassed me in front of all the other people in the service area. I hope Mel gets the help he needs in order to treat his customers with decent customer service. More

Brought the truck in for service and recall. For the recall they had to drop the gas tank. When I got the truck back the gas gauge was not registering any gas in the tank(although i know i had gas). Aft recall they had to drop the gas tank. When I got the truck back the gas gauge was not registering any gas in the tank(although i know i had gas). After putting gas in the tank and no change in the gas sensor the advisor took the truck back and they redropped the tank and fixed the gas sensor and re installed the tank. The dealer gave me a card for a tank of gas More
