Fantastic Experience I started my car shopping at Midway Nissan which is where my husband had purchased his Sentra last year. Actually we were there considering trading his car in for a truck. When he ultimately decided not to get a truck we thought we would look for me since my car was at 97k miles. At Midway they didn't have respect for me as a woman, only wanting to talk to my husband. I work at a bank. I deal with interest rates and loans for a living. When I told them that once the price we negotiated, the interest rate I was promised and the term of the loan was calculated the numbers didn't add up, they were very vague insisting that "interest rates and payment calculations are complicated". They were condescending and acted like I was just not able to understand these complicated numbers. Again, I do this for a living. I pulled out my phone and on the calculator did the math for them. Once I did that and was able to clearly show there was almost $3k missing they stopped arguing and just replied "The finance manager will be able to go over that with you." We talk to the finance guy who goes into detail about "how great it is because the additional warranty is already calculated into the payment." The cost? Yup that missing 3k. I wasn't super hot on the Murano and didn't need to purchase a car so we walked. My husband headed off to work and I was going to head home. My current car was a 2008 Dodge Nitro. While in the car heading home I was thinking about how much I loved my last car which was a 2002 Santa Fe (that I drove to 203k miles before giving to my sister, who 4 years later is still driving it) and how much I loved the 2015 Santa Fe I had rented on a recent trip this past April, so on a whim I decided to stop at Larry H Miller Hyundai. Kader met me in the parking lot and we began talking about what I wanted. Kader was absolutely wonderful. His demeanor was very calm and he was very kind. He actually listened to me completely on what I wanted before he spoke. There were a lot of things I liked about working with Kader, however, most importantly, he was respectful and didn't talk down to me because I was a woman. I test drove the 2015 Santa Fe and loved it. We were able to discuss the terms and go through all of the details without high pressured sales tactics or BS games. He was straight forward and the conversation went very smooth. Next I met with the finance manager Jeff Alves. He was straight forward talking about the terms, the agreed upon total cost, the agreed upon trade in on my Nitro and the payment information. He was honest with me on the process and that with the banks being closed I would have to come back in to sign the final paperwork, and since we were looking for a joint loan my husband would need to come in as well. Once all of that was handled he went into his sales pitch on the Gap Insurance and additional warranty. No BS trying to hide the cost to trick me into purchasing it. He walked me through the warranty I already had and the benefits of the additional warranty. Ultimately I opted yes on the Gap insurance and No on the warranty. He did his job and tried to convince me, however he did not pressure me or make me feel like I had to purchase it. It was clear it was my choice and he respected my decision. The next day Jeff called me back to let me know everything was set and on Sunday both my husband and I stopped by to sign all of the final paperwork. When I showed up Kader again greeted me, this time right at the door. This experience was phenomenal. As a woman I was treated with respect and they did not act like I was clueless and didn't understand finances. No tricks, no lies, just a good straightforward deal. I noticed most of the negative reviews revolve around used car purchases, which I can't speak to, but in the world of new car purchases this is the place to go. Plus, my new Santa Fe is sexy as hell! :) More
