I had requested through the internet MANY requests for price quotes from many dealerships (Nissan, KIA, Toyota, etc) and Jim Hinderson was the only person that took the time to follow through on my reques price quotes from many dealerships (Nissan, KIA, Toyota, etc) and Jim Hinderson was the only person that took the time to follow through on my request. He contacted me by phone (which I indicated was ok) within an hour after my request to obtain more information of what I was looking for. He was very eager to help. His product knowledge was very good and he's obviously believes in his dealership and service department. My wife joking said that we need to have everything done within an hour after we made our choice of vehicle including financing. Well, they missed that time constraint by 22 minutes! I would reccommend Jim's services to anyone. More

We were pleasantly surprised at how easy and equitable our purchase turned out to be, without all of the usual back and forth negotiations and “what would you like to pay?” type questions. Everyone, from the sales manager, to our sales person, to the finance manager, helped to make the transaction go smoothly. We received a fair trade in value for our car, and a great deal on the new vehicle. I know this sounds too good to be true, but it really was one of the easiest car buying experiences we've ever had. Friday, April 24, my husband and I went by to look at Hyundai Genesis as we had not seen one in person. We were immediately shown a used 06 Azera, which we did not know about and had done no research on. Hyundai Genesis as we had not seen one in person. We were told it had a 100,000 mile warranty, with 300,000 mile warranty on the motor "only this weekend". We were given a price of $2399, worked down every time we tried to leave until $20,500, with new tires. Told we a "a couple days, up to 500 miles" to reconsider. Rushed to sign papers before we could even discuss, didn't read thru - our fault. The next morning, read the contract and had been charged for the warranty, found out the car was worth $15 to $16,000. Called the salesman, Michael Baca, to return. Was told that we could not, but he would have a manager call. Henry Cordova, the financial guy called and said we absolutely could not return the car, but he would have a manager call. Never heard a word. Tried to reach them on Sunday, no answer. On Monday, sought recourse from Atty Gen.'s office, then two attorneys,then my banker who was outraged at the price and not being able to return the car. The salesman called again, was verbally abusive, saying that I "should have some integrity and keep my word." (What???) Finally, the manager called, agreed to include the warranty and new tires that had been promised. So, we still paid $3000 too much, got a used car instead of a new one, and never got to LOOK at all. We just had our 6th great buying experience at Southwest Hyundai. As always, all of the dealership staff was professional and knowledgable, very helpful, and great to deal with. And we just can never say enough great things about Southwest's service department's staff--professional, polite, prompt, and pleasant--they are our only providers of routine and schedule service maintenance for our cars for over 9 years. When compared to some of the nearby dealerships, I have to say that the people at Southwest Hyundai are top notch. After much research, I found the used car that I was looking for via a Web search and to say that the people at Southwest Hyundai are top notch. After much research, I found the used car that I was looking for via a Web search and made the appointment to test drive the car with one of their internet salesmen, Phil, the following day. When I arrived, Phil was tied up with another customer, but another salesman, Damon, volunteered to take me out in the car since I was on my lunch hour--not in an effort take a customer away from his colleague, but as a courtesy to help out his colleague. You often see this type of courtesy between sales people in small town dealerships, but it came as a refreshing surprise in a city the size of Albuquerque. After test driving the vehicle, they didn't try to do a "bait and switch" like other dealerships might try. They knew that I had already done my homework before making the appointment. They were even willing to let me take the vehicle home overnight so that my husband could see it without making a special trip to the dealership. I believe they are sincere when the folks at Southwest Hyundai say that they want to keep their customers happy and are willing to go the extra mile to do so. I would gladly go to Southwest Hyundai again when I make my next new or used car purchase. More
