Very poor customer service and doesn't care about GMC loyalty. We made a purchase offer on 7 December 2017, on what would have been our third GMC vehicle since 2008. We did s and doesn't care about GMC loyalty. We made a purchase offer on 7 December 2017, on what would have been our third GMC vehicle since 2008. We did some preliminary paperwork, placed a deposit on our new GMC, and made an appointment to come in on Friday, 8 December at 5pm to hand over a bank check and complete the remaining paperwork. On Friday, I emailed my salesman and called two times (left two voice mails) to ensure our new vehicle was going to be detailed, ready for pickup, and our final paperwork would be ready to complete. I never received an email or call back, but we proceeded to the dealer at 5pm to pick up our new GMC as scheduled. To my dismay, absolutely nothing had been done to prepare for our appointment and the vehicle was not even cleaned yet. The salesman told us they had been busy and several customers were ahead of us and it would be at least a two hour wait to get into the sale managers office to complete the remaining paperwork... We had an appointment and already made a purchase agreement the day prior! After explaining my dissatisfaction with the situation and the poor customer service, I was told a smaller dealership with less business would be better fit to provide the type of customer service that we asked for but we'd pay higher prices. Really? All I wanted was to be NEXT in line to get into the sales office to complete our paperwork and drop off my check drive home my new GMC, considering we DID have an appointment to pick up our new GMC. I guess that was too much to ask, and I told them they could keep their vehicle. Yes, this might be a busy dealership and its great the economy is so strong that they would send a buyer away after agreeing to purchase one of their vehicles. Very poor business practices and customer service is appealing! I’ll gladly pay the extra $1-2k if that’s what it takes to be treated with some respect and ensuring the customer’s needs are met. More
