Worst dealer experience, EVER! The appraised my trade in, and kept asking me how much I wanted for it. I said to just tell me how much they would give me. They got frustrated with me, and started tearing dow and kept asking me how much I wanted for it. I said to just tell me how much they would give me. Said I needed new tires ( they are almost new), said the A/C wasn't working properly (it was 97 degrees, and they didn't have it set on MAX). Salesmanager told me it was worth $6000 less than kbb or edmunds on wholesale price. I then told him I used to sell cars, and I knew how it worked, and I said "we're wasting our time, give me my keys back." To which he called me a hot head and told me to get out! I never raised my voice or said any bad words, or anything insulting! He pointed to the door and told me to get out. First time in 42 years of buying cars I have EVER been treated that badly. Don't walk away from Laura Buick GMC, RUN!! More

Put over 100 unauthorized miles on our truck; no explanation On April 10, 2020 I purchased a 2020 GMC AT4 2500 Sierra from Laura Buick GMC in Collinsville, IL. We took the truck off the lot in the daylight ho On April 10, 2020 I purchased a 2020 GMC AT4 2500 Sierra from Laura Buick GMC in Collinsville, IL. We took the truck off the lot in the daylight hours and brought it to our salesman's attention that the cab lights were not working. He looked over the truck, said he was not very familiar with this new model and the lights were not coming on since it was not dark enough. We took the truck home and did not drive it in during dark hours until a week later. First Service Appointment: At that time the lights still were not working and we returned it to Laura Buick for service. They had the truck for almost 3 weeks at that time. We continuously called and they stated it was because several wiring harnesses were ordered and they would short out when they were installed. (which makes no sense) At that time we had them treat the car with the DuPont Stain treatment that was purchased at the point of sale. When we got the truck back is was a disaster! There was dirt all over the truck that was not there when we picked it up. The inside of the truck was spotted horribly from the DuPont spray. The spots covered all of the leather seats, the seat backs, the armrest, storage trays and even the windows. We also could not use the radio because they took the antennae off of the truck to use on another vehicle and failed to replace it. We immediately called the dealership and advised them of the condition. Second Service Appointment: They agreed to pick up the truck from our home, detail it inside and out, replace the antennae and bring it back for us the following day. The truck was brought back with swirl marks all over the black paint but the inside of the vehicle was clean. We decided to keep the truck home and not call them back. Third Service Appointment: We contacted Laura about installing a GMC Tonneau cover, fixing a blemish on the tailgate and fixing rock chips and paint issues on the doors. We agreed that this would be OUR expense for these additional purchases and because we did not see the door blemishes before purchase. The truck was brought into Laura on 6/29/20. We continuously called on the truck being done and we went to pick it up on 7/9/20. The truck was covered in gravel under the truck, covered in dirt where it was driven off of a road, NONE of the paint issues were addressed on the door and we noticed that someone dropped something on our hood and tried to cover it up with paint. There were 3 dents now in the hood. We brought this to the service manager's attention and they agreed to keep the truck and to have it fully detailed at pickup AGAIN. Fourth Service Appointment: We have continuously called to get a status on our vehicle with no return calls. We started watching our truck on the GMC app and noticed the elevated miles and odd places it was being parked. Over 100 miles have been put on our truck since this last time we dropped it off. When we questioned Stephanie on the mileage she was dumbfounded on the miles and said that it must have happened while it was not in their care, but their contracted body shop. She stated they have no explanation or remedy to offer. 7/21/20 we called and demanded to speak to the Manager and told we would get a call. We have called every day since and Chuck has failed to return the call. The staff states that they "have to track him down first". My wife called 7-23-20 for a status and they told us we could pick it up, no remedy offered, just a final bill. Stephanie sent us an email stating the truck could be picked up but no call to us as requested. I responded stating that it is unacceptable and want a full refund for the truck or a -$0- bill for their work done on the truck. The truck has 2000 miles on it which have not all been put on by me, the owner. The dealership has unexplained miles BOTH times it has been in their care, has damaged the vehicle and has had possession of this vehicle for 7 of the 11 weeks I have owned it. Sadly, I have made 3 payments on this vehicle. ZERO communication from the salesman who made an $80000+ SALE!! More
Dishonest and rude I really wanted a particular vehicle they had. They were the closest dealership with exactly what I wanted, ext./int. color, trim, technology, etc. I really wanted a particular vehicle they had. They were the closest dealership with exactly what I wanted, ext./int. color, trim, technology, etc. I waited forever for a salesperson to work with me, because there were a few doubled-up in golf carts, cruising around the lot, seemingly avoiding work, and when I finally did get to speak to someone, I had to put up with mansplaining, LOTS of really lame salespeople psychology they think we're all too dumb to understand, verbal assurances that couldn't be backed up with immediate evidence, and rude assumptions about my financial situation. There must be a special school for shifty, misogynistic car salesmen. I couldn't even buy the car I wanted, the one they had already advertised online, because it wasn't ready, so I had to put a supposedly-refundable deposit on it. When I asked for a copy of the deposit agreement, he brought me a credit card receipt and said he could email me the deposit agreement, because that's normal. It sucked to have to weigh buying what I really wanted against dealing with their terrible service and lack of integrity. I do NOT recommend this place to anyone, but especially to other women. I am lucky to know about cars and car-buying, and I'm lucky to have the option to walk away. If you don't have the time or the liquid assets to shop around, please go somewhere else. They also refuse to negotiate on price, fyi. More

It took two weeks, several emails and several phone calls to the salesman and sales manager and then a note left for the owner, just to get the owner documents that should have been in the glove box to start with. The sales manager was quite arrogant and has not responded to my emails. I think he doesn't want documented records of correspondence. I should have gone to the manager sooner and then left a message for the owner sooner. They would not let me talk to the owner or leave a voice mail for him but, the receptionist took a message for him - I don't know if it got to him or not but, the problem was resolved within 24 hours of leaving that message. I wish I had looked at reviews here first, then I could have picked a reputable sales person. More

I found a very recently listed Alfa Romeo Stelvio on the website and clicked the button for more information. Before I could finish my Cheerios, I received an email from Kerry Carnes at 6:21AM. Due to the very attractive price, I did not hesitate and at 11:30AM I arrived to take a look at the Alfa. Kerry had it parked out in front and was waiting for me to arrive...he actually came outside to greet me. I will just cut to the chase. By 1:30PM I had taken the test drive and received a very fair offer on my trade and had struck a deal to purchase the Alfa. Understand that I did not need a car that day and I was enjoying the freedom of shopping all the used car opportunities between Alfa and Mercedes. However, everything about Laura Buick GMC just felt right. There are sales people and there are sales consultants. I would classify Kerry as the consultant type due to his love of automobiles and his technical knowledge. He just happens to work in sales, knows his stuff and is a down to earth good guy. As it turned out, we both enjoyed discussing the mechanics of performance cars/trucks. My wife and I returned the following evening to take delivery. Everything was correct...ie the 'numbers'. Thanks to Thad Courtney, we received a better than expected interest rate that we had sought on our own. We were in and out very efficiently. Thanks, Kerry. More
