I always have my guard up walking into a dealership. Knowing Laura's reputation of selling a large number of new vehicles daily and my intentions to only upgrade to a newer pre-owned truck, I suspected I would be treated as a nuisance or a "less important" buyer. Obviously selling a $60k vehicle makes for a better day than selling a $30k vehicle. Tim Hughes treated my child, my wife and me with overwhelming respect. He showed me several trucks and not once acted as though my pre-owned purchase was less important than others. I was also offered a more than fair price for my trade. I was unable to take my "new" truck home the first day pending an inspection. I called and left Tim a message in the days following not realizing he was on his regular day off. He immediately called me back and set up a time for pickup on his return the next day. The finance representative, Sedam Kim, was also exceptional. I had nothing less than a PERFECT experience at Laura. I truly believe I got a great deal and was treated with overwhelming respect. I will most certainly be back. More
Horrible Dealership! Laura Buick GMC listed a truck for sale on autotrader.com. I contacted the dealership about the truck. A salesman reached out to me and talked with me about the truck. Because of my work schedule, I wasn't able to get to the dealership to look at the truck for a few days. The salesman we were working with told me that the only way he could guarantee that the truck would be available when I could get to the dealership was to put a deposit on the truck. My wife drove the long distance to the dealership to meet with the salesman and get him a deposit check. He informed us that he was going on vacation, but that he would make arrangements for someone to help me when I was able to get to the dealership. My family and I drove to the dealership. We had made arrangements with the internet sales manager to meet us there. When we arrived at the scheduled time, we were informed that the internet sales manager had gone to lunch. The receptionist attempted to find someone to help us for over 20 minutes. There were salesman all over the showroom, but we couldn't get anyone to help us. We eventually asked the receptionist to have the sales manager come speak with us. He eventually came out and informed us that the truck that we were wanting to buy had some extensive repairs that needed to be made, so they couldn't sell the truck at the advertised price. When I told the sales manager that we were told that the deposit check we had brought to the dealership would lock in the price and availability of the truck, he shrugged and told me that he wouldn't sell the truck at the advertised price. He told me that if I wanted the truck, it would cost another $2500 above the advertised price. When I asked him again about the deposit locking in the availability and price on the truck, he just looked at me and told me he wouldn't do it. We left the dealership immediately. The whole process was a bait and switch. When you advertise a truck for a price, you need to sell that truck for that price. This is a large dealership that likes to show off its awards it has received, but if they treat everyone like they treated me and my family, they will go out of business.... By the way, we left there and went to a different dealership and purchased a truck that same day. The outstanding service we got at the other dealership stood in stark contrast to the horrible service and bait and switch tactics we received at Laura Buick GMC. More

GREAT EXPERIENCE! Jim made this experience fun and easy. My wife and I drove 4 hours to buy her 2019 GMC Terrain and we will be driving back in a few years when it is t Jim made this experience fun and easy. My wife and I drove 4 hours to buy her 2019 GMC Terrain and we will be driving back in a few years when it is time to trade up on my truck. Even back home while we were car shopping, if we mentioned Laura Buick GMC, the salesperson would get a defeated look on their face and say "Oh, we can't compete with Laura". We ended up driving away in a brand new Terrain for less than our hometown dealers were charging for 4 year old used models. The dealership is huge but not overwhelming and very clean with great amenities and I felt very comfortable. I definitely recommend seeing Jim Lombardo at Laura. You will not be disappointed. More

I purchased a 2013 The reason for my one star rating for Laura Buick-GMC in Collinsville, IL, is based on my experience with the sales rep Tim Hughes. I purchased a 2013 Lexus from the dealership, with the expectation that regular maintenance was up-to-date. However I learned after the purchase and returning to Kansas City, that this was not the case. Soon after I started driving the car, the “Maintenance” light came on and did not go off. I took the car to a nearby dealership only to learn that the car needed new struts, new tires, the basic multipoint inspection and the 60K mile service… all of which should have been done before I purchased the vehicle. I reached out to Tim Hughes to see what the dealership would do to make this right and he said he would talk to his general manager and get back with me. Needless to say, it’s been a week and I still have not heard back from him or his manager. I am very disappointed and I feel like I got screwed by this salesman. And if that’s not enough, Tim told me he was sending me the 2nd key to the car in the mail, but I never received it. I even requested the tracking number, so that I could try to track down where it may have gone, but he said there was not one. So in addition to the expensive repairs I now have to be concerned with, I also don’t have the other key to my car. I would not recommend Laura Buick-GMC to anyone, as long as they have untrustworthy and unresponsive sales people working for them. More

I just serviced it for the first time since my purchase, and the service was outstanding. David Day, my service consultant, was extremely courteous, knowledgeable and professional in every way. I was considering servicing my truck at a GMC Service Center closer to where I live, however after experiencing the Laura Buick/GMC Service Center for the first time, I will continue to service my truck there. You'll find the sales consultants are extremely professional as well. Ask for Kerry Carnes...........he's the best! More

I test drove their vehicle in a reasonable, respectful manner. The salesman driving MY car however - tore out of the parking lot. It's obvious he didn't understand the modifications to my vehicle allow for data logging such as boost and RPM history. He had it at peak boost, 24.5psi and redline RPMs. I don't even drive it like that. The only explanation given by staff at that location is that "We have to make sure nothing is broken". Even novice mechanics know that's not how you check functionality. The manager made a point to walk out of the building as I was leaving to reiterate that point "We have to make sure nothing is broken.". I asked: "How would you like if I took one of your new vehicles to redline?" His reply was "Have at it - I don't care." That's the thing - I know you don't treat cars like that, since I want them to last, plus it's not mine. Especially new engines as they have a break in period. He made sure to tell me not to come back. There's plenty of dealerships around....I won't. It's a shame that it seems the way they test functionality of a performance car is running it to its limits...when they don't own it. Nothing close to an apology or semblance of accountability. Basically, a joy ride. Spend your money elsewhere. I will! More
