I’ve always gone to Laurel to service my BMW so when looking for a newer 2nd vehicle I knew I where I would go. I trusted Laurel to not only have serviced the pre-owned car but to also give me a no hagg looking for a newer 2nd vehicle I knew I where I would go. Hats off to the service department for fixing my coolant issue for $640. So, first I purchased my 2010 BMW 750 LI x-drive from Elmhurst jag/bmw. They told me they would fix anything that went wrong because they have an experienced service department. I literally did every service at that location because I purchased the car there and would tell them I am in the car all day please make sure everything that needs to be updated is updated, I need this vehicle to go the distance. After my vehicle went out of warranty I was having some issues with the vehicle burning large amounts of coolant and was making a rumbling noise under the dash. They said the coolant was leaking into the engine block making the car misfire at times as well as burning all the coolant. I was told by Elmhurst BMW that I needed a new engine which was $14,000 plus $9,000 in labor. I was told I should just trade the vehicle in and buy and new one! Elmhurst told me they don’t work on a lot of BMW 750 LI’s, which came as a complete shock because they told me they did when I purchased the vehicle from them. Needless to say, I was unhappy with Elmhurst. I called Perillo BMW and nobody answered the phone for three days…what a joke. I called Michael Buzzelli at Laurel BMW Westmont. I brought the vehicle in that day. Their experienced service department did a full inspection, they diagnosed and fixed the coolant issue and found some other major issues with the vehicle as well that needed to be addressed. They changed the spark plugs, which fixed the misfire. They replaced some coolant values that was super cheap and the whole root of my concerns. They also, saw some suspension damage and it was an easy fix that was just right in front of everyone’s face and needed to get fixed. It was shocking that Elmhurst missed all of these major issues that could have resulted in lots of trouble down the line. Also, I went down to the parts department at Laurel BMW and they help me price out some Pirelli brand all-season tires and rims. I was having some ride issues and they kept bubbling with the goodyear tires that Elmhurst demanded I use. The Parts tech was super helpful and took the time to show me all the options. They printed out everything I needed and I gave the list to Michael Buzzelli. He took care of everything. He kept me updated and those smooth Pirelli tires were the vehicle. Best of the best service techs and service advisor at Laurel. Hats off to the service department for fixing my coolant issue for $640. Don’t take your 7- series anywhere else. More
