We made it about 6pm and they close at 7pm. We were there negotiating til nearly 10pm. We finally got financing taken care of and since their detail crew was gone for the day they asked us to come in the next day to pick it up. But with our schedules we weren’t able to plan for pick up until the following Saturday, March 28th. The day came and we were both excited. Our first “new” vehicle. Something we as a couple have worked very hard towards. Including saving for, watching our spending so our credit scores wouldn’t be effected, even budgeting to make sure we were set for insurance on such a new car. It was a big day for us. Picked it up, got it home, and it was finally time to get it personalized to drive. It took some time figuring out all the buttons, but with each app on the dash I kept getting an error. That I needed a connection. WiFi. Onstar… My husband tried to connect our Sirix XM to the car but kept having trouble also. Even the Sirix woman on the phone tried to help us troubleshoot and she could only recommend calling Onstar. So I did. We went through the steps, I made sure the vehicle was in direct line to the sky so she could send me a signal to my car. …. Nothing happened… So then she says I need to call my dealership and they need to do a diagnostic test. So the weekend past and first thing Monday Morning I send a text to our salesman from Cable Dalmer Lawrence. An he says he will get with his Service Manager and get back to me. I said okay, and I wait. Later he responds with that the next day (Tuesday March 31) I was to take the Traverse to the Cable Dalmer Topeka dealership to have a diagnostic test done. So I asked, “I just take it up there? I don’t need an appointment?” And he assured me they knew what was going on. So Tuesday morning 8:45ish I pull into Cable Dalmer Topeka. Walked in, had no clue who I was looking for. Until this young man came up and asked if he could help me. So I start in with the whole story. He says we don’t have anything in the system. And we have no loaners available. He said he would talk to his manager and see if he knew anything. Came back, no one at the Topeka Branch knew I was coming. I was embarrassed and frustrated. I showed him my text were my salesman from Lawrence sent me and said they knew I was coming. He said I would have to make an appointment and come back in a week. Being left with no help from Lawrence Kia, I set up an appointment, I set up for a loaner. And I left with nothing being done. Once I got to the car I was furious. I called my husband and explained what had happened and he told me to get ahold of Garry (Lawrence) and see what was going on. And once I got there I text Garry. Told him exactly what had happened and he responded with he was going to talk with his service manager right then. Asked who I had been talking with in Topeka, a that he was trying to figure out what happened. I told him I had set up the appointment. And that I had also told them that my second keyphob wasn’t working. So he added that to my ticket also. So the day of my appointment came. I got the traverse dropped off, and picked up my loaner.(Topeka) calls me and says I need a whole new Onstar Module replacement. That’s out of stock. 🤬 and they have no eta on when it will be available. I’m at the 30day mark and no one at Lawrence will respond. 🤬 I will never recommend this dealership. Worst experience!!
