Never in my life did I think I would be in the situation I was in having poor credit because of a horrible divorce. I travel 70 miles a day just to go to work and I was in danger of having no way to get there. My daughter recommended that I try Lee Auto in Ellsworth and to see Randy J and he would take care of the situation and help me, and that is just what he did. Randy listened to my situation, never passing judgement and started the process of finding me a vehicle. I was treated with respect, kindness and compassion and I will continue to purchase my vehicles from Lee Auto in Ellsworth and I appreciate the second chance you folks have given me. It was late one Saturday afternoon, just about closing time for Lee’s on Outer Hammond Street in Bangor. My wife and I decided to stop in to check out some SUV’s, specifically one that had four wheel dri time for Lee’s on Outer Hammond Street in Bangor. My wife and I decided to stop in to check out some SUV’s, specifically one that had four wheel drive and was larger than what we currently owned to accommodate our family and lifestyle. In the process, we couldn’t have been more pleased to have met and worked with Paul Marin. Unlike other dealerships we visited earlier in the day, and there were several, Paul listened to us carefully and patiently as we were describing the type of vehicle we would like to have, and the price range we wanted to stay within. Paul absorbed everything we were saying and after asking us a few questions he recommended we look at two different models that at first glance seemed to meet our specifications. After taking some time looking at these two models, we were very pleased and probably even to some extent relieved to discover that Paul had listened to everything we said and didn’t try to push us towards something more or less than what we were looking for. After several negative experiences at other dealerships earlier in the day, we were beginning to think there wasn’t a “deal” for us, at least anytime soon. However, Paul gave us a renewed hope that there was indeed a vehicle for us, right down to everything we were looking for, even if the vehicle was on another Lee’s lot. We decided to give it some thought over the remainder of the weekend and told Paul we would contact him on Monday to give him our thoughts and perhaps give one or both models a test drive. On Monday and continuing through Wednesday we test drove the vehicles before ultimately coming to a final decision. Upon calling Paul to inform him of our final decision, we could hardly contain our excitement for this vehicle only to find out shortly afterwards that a separate Lee location had sold it and it was gone! Needless to say, we were very disappointed the vehicle we became very impressed with was now unavailable, but Paul was there to put us at ease, telling us not to worry, that he would get back to work and find us our vehicle. And he sure did, essentially finding another vehicle identical to the one we originally decided on, only difference being the color which we said didn’t matter to us. All in all, we probably weren’t the easiest customers to deal with, but that didn't matter to Paul as he was very patient with us, and without being pushy did such a wonderful job meeting our needs and expectations that we are looking forward to returning to Lee’s when we purchase our next vehicle in the future. It’s been a few months since our purchase and we are really enjoying our SUV! Couldn’t be any happier. Thank you Paul! More
you ever wanted to set something up online and over the phone with a salesman, and have everything work out just as you wanted. I'm the type of person who takes my time for granted, and I feel that there i phone with a salesman, and have everything work out just as you wanted. I'm the type of person who takes my time for granted, and I feel that there is no reason why a salessman shouldn't be able to do this, I mean that is there job description right? Well I talked to over 20 diffrent dealerships all over maine, mass, and NH tring to find that right salesmen, and what I found out was nobody wanted to really deal with me untill I was at the lot, untill I contacted Stephen Z at credit now, I told him what I wanted when I wanted it,and that I didn't have time to travel up there untill I was ready to pick up my new truck. Even though my credit stunk he still offered to help me, now granted he could not find me the exact truck I wanted in my price range he was able to find me a really nice truck that I have enjoyed over the last month, and thats why I rated customer sevice a five.The quality of work was also rated a 5 because of the appearance of the vehicle opon arrival.now the overall experiance I could not rate a five nor the price only because of the priceing issue I believe that when your in the credit sitution that I am in,any dealership is gonna do this to you. but I would like to thank both Steve's for getting me into this new truck and for doing and excellent job More
I was looking online for a truck for winter driving. I was nervous about buying from any used dealer with some of the locals we have selling cars that are undesirable to say the least, I called Lee (credit now auto) after reading several positive reviews about a few salespeople. I was transferred to sales immediately when I called and asked for a salesperson no waits or calls back, which was very nice. I happen to be transferred to a Travis Therrien, who just happen to be one of the last online reviews I had just finished reading. Travis immediately asked me what I was looking for and how he could be of help to me and offered to grab some information from me and he was sure he could help me find what I was looking for, along with feeling very comfortable because of other reviews I read I without hesitation gave Travis the information he needed to get started. Travis was extremely helpful and promised me a return call within a couple hours, which he followed up on, within hours I was on the Brewer, Maine lot trying out vehicles. Although I did not find one that day Travis asked me to hang tight with him and he will find me a truck that was in my price range, which he did as promised. I am very happy with the truck, which left the lot perfectly detailed by Ben Malee who took the extra time to make sure inside and out was in awesome condition! Before I left the lot, it was a pleasure to meet you Ben and thanks again for the great work. I will definitely recommend Travis and Lee as a dealership! As a business owner myself that comes into contact with literally hundreds of customers of my own a day I know it does matter what others think of the job we do, it was a real pleasure to work with Travis I felt like I knew him personally. My agent, Jim Lyons, was superb in his determination to find me just the right vehicle. He tried several vehicles in order to meet all my requirements; some of which needed to take into consideration my h find me just the right vehicle. He tried several vehicles in order to meet all my requirements; some of which needed to take into consideration my husbands handicaps. Jim is very friendly and helpful, esp. since my credit is: no credit! He worked to find the loan company that would work with me at a payment that I could feasibly handle. Travis was very nice and very down to earth. We had a great time working with Travis while we purchased our Jeep. Needed to trade my vehicle in and had certain requirements I needed in a new vehicle due to physical needs. Jeff was great at finding something that fit my needs. My credit isn't that great and neither Jeff or Lance, the manager made me feel any less of a person due to it. Jeff went above standard of what I have incountered with other sales people to give me information about the car I bought including previous repair work...to show me what had been done but also to give me an idea of what future repairs would possibly cost. I previously had a foreign car and knew repairs were expensive so I was looking for American made. Jeff was professional but relaxed and not pushy at all....I loved that! He took the time with me needed to help me with what I needed and didn't squeeze in other clients...I was his priority at the time. I was very surprised and very pleased at what they gave me for my trade-in too. This was an overall very pleasant experience. They listened to what I wanted and needed and I really feel like Jeff was honest with me. More
Our experience with the Sales Manager, Steve Moran and the salesperson, Steve Zaranski was above par. Upon receipt of the vehicle we noticed the trunk has issues latching and the parking brake didn't wor the salesperson, Steve Zaranski was above par. Upon receipt of the vehicle we noticed the trunk has issues latching and the parking brake didn't work. Steve Z was quick to respond and personally dropped off a loaner car and brought our new car to be serviced. The only reason we rated Customer Service and Quality of work a "4" was because of the Service Department. The Service Department was supposed to have done a 150 point insepction but my parking brake didn't work...someone didn't do that inspection very well. Then they ordered the incorrect part...all told...5 days into my loan...I only had the car 48 hours. The guys are the dealership were very accomodating and delivered my car to my place of employment and compensated me a tank of gas. More
If you have any doubts about Lee's, please let me put your mind at ease! My husband and I really needed a second vehicle, but I had been dragging my feet for months! I decided to try Lee's not only bec your mind at ease! My husband and I really needed a second vehicle, but I had been dragging my feet for months! I decided to try Lee's not only because our credit was not great, but because 4 people that I trust had recommended them. After looking at the online website I called the approval hotline. Once approved, I was told to stop in to Lee's on Hogan Road to test drive some vehicles. Once there, I met Michelle. She asked what I was looking for and within 10 minutes I was test driving the vehicle I eventually bought. The vehicle was in great condition, during my test drive I even thought to myself, "I don't know why I'm test driving this, there's no way I can afford something this nice!" Upon my return to the dealership, Michelle met me and asked what I thought. When I told her I didn't know if I could afford it she recommended we go inside to see what the numbers looked like. She explained my options and was able to work out a figure I was comfortable with. I have a hard time making big decisions, but Michelle totally put my mind at ease. She was patient, polite, informative and professional. Once I made up my mind to buy it I had to wait for my husband to get out of work to cosign paperwork, but unfortunately he had to work later than what Lee's was open. Then Michelle saved the day! She gave me her personal cell phone number and told me to take the new car home and call her when my husband arrived home and she would stop in with the paperwork for us to sign. Now we are in a vehicle we love, with payments we can afford. A lot of people go to Lee's because they have credit issues and may not be able to be financed anywhere else, but I recommend this dealer (and Michelle in particular) to anybody, even those with great credit.
