Feedback Regarding My Experience Purchasing a GMC Sierra 2500HD Denali Ultimate VIN: 1GT49XEY7RF120516 Stock: 25G1073A Model: TK20743 I wanted to share my experience in hopes that it helps improve the c 2500HD Denali Ultimate VIN: 1GT49XEY7RF120516 Stock: 25G1073A Model: TK20743 I wanted to share my experience in hopes that it helps improve the customer experience for future buyers. I drove approximately two hours to Legacy GMC to view a white GMC Sierra 2500HD Denali Ultimate after communicating with salesperson Chris. Before making the trip, I was told the truck would be ready for viewing upon my arrival out front. Unfortunately, when I arrived, the truck was not pulled up front as promised, and my guest and I waited approximately 20 to 30 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. During that time, it felt as though several employees were watching us rather than assisting us. As two customers who had traveled a considerable distance, we were left feeling unwelcome instead of valued. Once Chris finally greeted us, another employee accompanied us on the test drive. As soon as the truck was started, a message appeared indicating that the engine oil service was due. When I brought this to Chris's attention, he explained that it was because the truck had been sitting. When I asked how long it had been sitting, he was unable to answer and said he would need to ask the sales manager. As we continued inspecting the truck, we found several concerns that were inconsistent with a premium vehicle at this price point: The grille paint was peeling. There were paint or detailing compound stains and noticeable marks on the leather seats. The truck bed showed visible rust. The tires appeared to need replacement. There were numerous cosmetic scratches and scuffs throughout the vehicle. Because of the truck's condition, I asked whether it had previously been used as. Again, Chris was unable to answer and said he would need to speak with the sales manager. I also requested a pre-sale inspection report. I was informed that no pre-inspection had been completed despite the truck having been on the market for an extended period. I later learned the vehicle had reportedly been listed for approximately 400 days. While the CARFAX reflected the maintenance history, it did not reflect the current cosmetic condition of the truck that I observed in person. Neither the videos that were sent over to view before traveling here. When we discussed pricing, I wasn't asking for an unreasonable discount. I simply believed the truck's condition warranted some consideration. Rather than discussing my concerns or working toward a solution, I was told the sales manager was busy and that Chris would get back with me the following day. As of today, I have not received that follow-up. I understand dealerships have pricing policies, and I respect that. My disappointment wasn't simply about the price; it was about the overall experience. I made a significant trip because I was genuinely interested in purchasing this truck. Instead, I left feeling that my time, concerns, and business were not valued. I hope this feedback is received in the spirit it is intended. I truly wanted to purchase this truck, but customer service, preparation, and transparency are just as important as the vehicle itself. Unfortunately, my experience at Legacy GMC did not meet the level of professionalism I expected from a dealership representing a premium brand. More
