Before getting in contact with Legends Toyota, I had been considering the purchase of a used Toyota for quite a while. I was aware that the name "Toyota" carries a good and dependable reputation. When I came to the decision to begin the process of looking for one, I quickly decided that I wanted to narrow the scope of my search to Lawrence, KS because I am very familiar with that town and its people, as I have either lived in, or near there for most of my life. Originally, I had in mind to buy from an individual rather than a dealership. I thought that I would be more comfortable with myself in my ability to discern individuals and their trustworthiness within a city of which I was familiar. When I got on Craig's list, I found that there were not a lot of used Toyota's available in the Lawrence area. It was then that I made the decision to check out some dealerships and to consider buying a new vehicle. I called the dealership in Lawrence, and then one in KCMO. I only interacted with each of those by phone, and I sensed nothing about those individuals with whom I spoke which put me ill at ease. When I decided to call Legends Toyota as well, I was put on the phone with Greg Johnson and right away I felt at ease and comfortable. Greg informed me of the good and solid reputation of that particular dealership. He spoke of the woman who is in top position there. I believe her name was Ginger, though I do not remember her official title. I found myself to be very impressed with her and her abilities, based from all that Greg told me. Mr. Johnson himself was a complete gentleman throughout the entire process of my purchase of a new Toyota Camry. I did not think that I would purchase a new car that same day, but Greg offered to bring one out to my location in Tonganoxie, KS, and when my car didn't start so that I could drive in to the dealership, I took him up on the offer. He drove out in one of the nicer used Camrys, which he allowed me to drive back to the dealership. I then test drove a new Corolla because I had expressed interest in those, since they are not as expensive. Greg was very good to point out various points about each of the cars that I drove. I never felt the least bit pressured. I believe that this salesman was truly concerned with giving me good information about the vehicles and assisting me in making a wise purchase that would suit my needs. When I expressed interest in something with a little more room than the Corolla had, and that I would definitely buy "new", Greg had a very good car to show me. I had stated that I do not need a lot of fancy options and he never tried to lead me further in that direction than I wanted to go. The new Camry which he showed me had a reasonable amount of good options which I liked very much. When I said that I had been interested in buying a blue car and I pointed to one, he said that he could show me that one as well, though I did not take him up on that offer. Again, there was never any pressure, only good information given, respect of the customer displayed, and genuine interest in assisting me to make a wise and informed decision based on my needs. I bought my Camry in October of 2013 and have been completely satisfied with it since. When it came time to negotiate price, I was very well taken care of and completely satisfied with Mr. Johnson as we walked through that process. I have never second guessed the fact that I was given a fair price for a great vehicle. Also, when I was walked through the process to see if I wanted to purchase an extended warranty, the gentleman in that department, was great in explaining what was available, and I was not pressured to purchase anything other than what I expressed interest in. Information was explained well and questions answered and I am very satisfied with the decision that I made. When I bought my extended warranty, the gentleman in charge of that department, (Rick), explained to me that Legends Toyota and I now had a relationship together. I am not one to get "led In" by a lot of words, but I feel that I can genuinely recommend this dealership to others who might be interested in purchasing a Toyota and who want to find a dealership where they will be treated with courtesy and respect, and where concern for their specific needs are met above the personal concerns of the individual who is assisting them. I would also add here, that I have been back for one oil change since my purchase, and I was satisfied with the individuals in that department and their service, as well. While I am recommending the dealership of Legends Toyota as a whole due to the way in which I have been treated by each of the individuals with whom I have met or spoken with there, I really would like to recognize Greg Johnson and his absolute expertise as a salesman because it was with this individual that my experience with Legends Toyota began, and thus, it was he who has set the stage for my entire experience. The fact that I have been impressed with the abilities of the group of people at Legends as a whole is an impression which I will work to model within myself as I work within my own area of employment, because it takes the abilities of each individual and also the abilities of individuals working together as a group to keep any area of employment strong and growing. I can only express sincere gratitude that I found my way to Legends Toyota. More

I leased a 2013 Toyota RAV4 LE with salesman Derrion Brooks who was showed outstanding customer service from the beginning to the end of the sale. We negotiated a great deal on my trade and lease. Derrion thoroughly explained every feature on the RAV4 with expertise and patience. At the close of the sale, I was impressed with the walkthrough of the RAV4 inside a private garage right before I took my car home. I was also impressed with the sincerity of Charlie Ross with trying to make me satisfied with what I requested, and fulfilled it! Charlie loaned me a Prius loaner car until my RAV4 arrived which shows that Legends Toyota takes care of your customers. In addition, I love the modern architecture of the new Legends Toyota LEED certified green building. The coffee machine serve's up some excellent brew too. Thanks Derrion, Charlie, and JVan ! More

Upon our arrival to the dealership Rob was outside and greeted me and my wife with a warm smile and handshake. Rob took some notes and asked us some questions about our trade in. He engaged my wife and asked her questions as well. My wife stated after Rob walked away that she has never had a sales guy include her like that and that she really liked that. Rob excused himself and a few minutes later stated he had the vehicle pulled in the Service bay due to the weather being so bad and bitterly cold. It was as if Rob looked right into our minds and the exact vehicle we wanted and needed was there in front of us. I asked Rob how much and Rob replied lets make sure this is the right vehicle and that everything meets your needs first. We went on a test drive and we knew then that we had found the perfect vehicle for us. Rob stated when we got back that he was going to make this quick and as easy as possible there was going to be no games and that he was not going to run back and forth. He promised that all numbers would meet our expectations or we could go somewhere else my wife and I looked at each other in disbelief but wow when he came back he stated ok here is where we are and had the exact numbers we stated we had to be at. It was incredible no muss no fuss and this was by far the most enjoyable car buying experience ever. Folks I highly recommend Rob and Legends Toyota. More

After visiting another prominent area Toyota dealer (Tiffany Springs), which is much closer to our home, we'd nearly crossed the brand off our list. Calling out to Legend's Toyota before making the drive, we decided to give Toyota one more try. To our luck (and Toyota's), we landed in the jovially competent hands of Greg Johnson. Although the dealership was crawling busy with clientele at the time, Greg slowed our pace and devoted just the perfect amount of pragmatic attention to our fact-finding mission that, in fact, we left with a new Rav4 that night. I'm a skeptical tough-sale, so was shocked to find myself beaming with pride at my new aquisition. Greg has since kept in touch, knows my family members (also sold a new Rav to my in-laws), and his correspondence is always met with a smile on my end. A real person on a sales floor still surprises and delights me; so much that I've given his card out more than my own since our purchase, and intend to follow Greg wherever his career takes him. More
