We bought a new Toyota here two years ago. I had worked with the predecessor dealership, Roger Smith Toyota, as far back as the Seventies. We've loved the car and the service department has performed ToyotaCare maintenance without a complaint. We tried to buy another new Toyota last year from the same salesman. We bought elsewhere only because they had the difficult-to-find model in stock. Last month we came to buy a new Prius. We made it clear that we were only comparison shopping with the dealer we'd just bought a car from, and that we were absolutely going to buy something within 48 hours. Our original salesman had left. Unfortunately, so had everyone else except the nice young woman at the reception desk. We came back three times and ended up talking to four salespeople (because of availability), the finance manager, the sales manager, and the general manager. One of the salesmen had a pulse. The rest were horrifying. One example should suffice. We had our trade appraised, and our salesman of the moment told us, solemn-faced, that the dealership couldn't offer any more on our trade because they were making so little money on it, SINCE THEY HAD TO PAY TOYOTA FOUR HUNDRED AND FIFTY DOLLARS UP FRONT TO SELL IT AS A CERTIFIED USED CAR. We walked in ready to purchase a car. We looked over the showroom model for at least 20 minutes and not one sales person asked if we had any questions or if we were being helped. In order to request a test drive we had to ask the receptionist to find someone. There were red polo shirted sales people all in a room just standing in there. On the bright side, we had NO pressure!!! We sat down and talked numbers. They gave us a great price, but the lack of attention was a turn off. We left there and went to Olathe Toyota and bought our car. We had the complete opposite experience at Olathe. Everyone we worked with: sales, delivery and finance were all friendly, polite and attentive. After our experience at Legends Toyota, we would not go back. However, if we wanted a Honda, we would definitely go back to Legends Honda. Our sales person and the General Manager were great! We just decided the Toyota was what we wanted. More

I am just returning from a total waste of time at Legends Toyota of Kansas City where I had a scheduled service appointment. My service advisor was clearly stressed out, apparently from "too much paperwork o Toyota of Kansas City where I had a scheduled service appointment. My service advisor was clearly stressed out, apparently from "too much paperwork on my desk", as he stated to another employee. I gave him all my information, signed the repair sheet, and went to the waiting room. After 50 minutes, I saw my vehicle hadn't been moved. I decided I didn't want to wait any longer for the service to begin, so I approached the same service advisor to tell him I would return another day. He quickly brushed me off, walked past me, while saying he had to help another customer, who was outside. At that point, I decided I did not want to return another day. Now, I just wanted my vehicle and to leave. While standing in the office alone, another service advisor came in and asked if he could help me. I told him I wanted my car that hadn't been moved. He asked if I wanted to reschedule and I said no. Our conversation was overheard by another employee (I don't know who she was) who inquired about the problem I was having. She offered no apology or explanation for the delay but asked if I wanted to reschedule, again, I declined. I got my car and left. Of course, it would have been in the best interest of the dealership for me to have rescheduled and for them to not have a dissatisfied customer. However, when the dealership (a corporation) and I have an appointment, I expect them to live up to their half. I went to Legends Toyota because that is where I purchased my car - new, paid cash, and the car only has 6040 miles on it. I have no loyalty now to Legends Toyota and will not return. More
My new car buying experience was one of the best I've ever had. Bill was friendly and very knowledgeable about the car I was interested in purchasing. We were specifically looking for a Toyota Avalon Hybrid, and Legends Toyota had three in stock to chose from. (Another Toyota dealer located closer to us had none in stock a couple weeks earlier, and did n and Legends Toyota had three in stock to chose from. Price negotiation was not too onerous or demeaning (just three iterations before settling on a price). Staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Seemed genuinely proud of their service/maintenance department. Interest rate for financing was lower than expected (a pleasant surprise). However, I would have preferred that the financing discussion regarding extended warrantees made it clear that the optional programs did not need to be immediately purchased and included in the amount financed. When the vehicle was picked up the next day, it was perfectly clean. Salesman's demonstration/explanation of the Avalon Hybrid's features was clear and efficient. My questions were answered. When I called back several days later with a question about synching the vehicle's Bluetooth with my cell phone, the salesman was able to resolve the problem over the phone. More

I was in the market for another vehicle. I did not want brand new car however. I knew exactly what I wanted...brand, color, features, price, etc... I spoke to JayVan and could tell just in speaking with h brand new car however. I knew exactly what I wanted...brand, color, features, price, etc... I spoke to JayVan and could tell just in speaking with him that he was truly paying attention to me and listening to everything I was saying. The next day, JayVan presented me with a Honda Accord. It was PERFECT! He really did present a car to me that had everything I had wanted and asked for plus more! It was absolutely the perfect car for. With this being my first expereince of purchasing a vehicle I was very nervous. JayVan was incredibly helpful in walking me through everything involved and helping me every step of the way. I started to get less nervous and more excited at that time. Two days later the paperwork was drawn up and I decided to buy the car at a price that was perfect for me! I could not have asked for a better experience in purchasing a vehicle. JayVan is a hige asset to the company. He is a true role model for above and beyond customer service! I could never express or brag enough about my experience or JayVan. Thank you so much for everything! Shopping for low mile Prius V to replace our hail damaged 2010 Prius. Very difficult to find;none in our home state closest metro Dallas were two to three thousand more expensive than Legends. Very easy to do the deals on our terms. We did everything by email, text, Fed ex or mail. In three days the new Prius was in our driveway. Could not have been a better experience. Legends Charlie Ross just a joy to work with returned calls and emails almost immediately and at all hours of night or day. Never pushy he offered alternatives in a respectful and informative way.
