This weekend I spent my time traveling from dealership to dealership looking for THE PERFECT CAR. For me, car shopping is a nightmare. You run in to so many sales people that try their best to push you in to dealership looking for THE PERFECT CAR. For me, car shopping is a nightmare. You run in to so many sales people that try their best to push you in to a situation that you are uncomfortable with, or that pay no attention to your wants, needs, or budget for that matter. This weekend I encountered many of the dreaded, stereotypical car salesmen, and by the time I made it to Leith VW in Cary I was ready to call it quits. When I walked on the lot I was given a chance to look around at the vehicles before I was approached. I happened to be greeted by Alan Gidney shortly after, and instead of forcing me to look at car after car that he thought was "the car for me" he spent time asking me questions and allowing me to explain to him what I was in the market for. Alan gave me the chance to sit in, and test drive as many of the cars as I pleased. Finally, I thought I had found the perfect car, and we moved inside to try and make a deal. I don't know about most people, but to me, this is the worst part of the car buying process. I gave him my expectations and he and his team did their best to fit my car into the limits I needed to be in. Unfortunately, we were unable to come the right deal. Both Alan and I had reached our bending limits, and could wheel and deal no more. As sad as it is that it didn't work out, the deal making process was not pushy or demanding. The people at Volkswagon made it very easy for me to say that I was as far as I could go, and allowed a no answer to be a no answer. By this time the dealership was closed, and I was prepared to leave. Alan suggested one more option, and from there Alan and his team spent 2 hours creating a deal to get me into the car that was even more perfect than the first one I thought was the one. Two hours after close I was handed the keys to my new car. Alan even followed me to the gas station to ensure that I left with a full tank of gas. Alan and the team at VW in Cary made this dreaded situation into something that I can honestly say was easy, painless, and ultimately resulted in the beautiful new car I can now call mine. More

We worked with Jason Walker to purchase a new 2013 Passat in August 2013. He was very responsive and listened what we were looking for in a car. The sales process was fairly quick and painless; other than the dealer warranty add-ons, we decided on no additional warranty items and got a good financing rate. This is our second purchase from Leith VW Cary and have no regrets in working with Jason. We definitely recommend dealing with Jason if you are considering a VW. More
