Checked my warranty- I had received a card from Lexus stating my warranty was running out. I had actually bought the extended warranty when we purchased the car. The lovely lady in the customer lounge was delightful! While we were there we looked at other vehicles-a couple different sales people approached us and were ready to answer any questions. Got a text from Chris Merz who is keeping an eye out for a car I might be interested in. The lady in the coffee area gave him my name! Good work! More

Replacing one part on recall took 3 days I want to start off by saying the Service at this dealer has been better on previous visits. I made an appointment to install a new airbag inflator on the passenger side of my 2015 Lexus GX 460 After dropping the car off and being given a loaner for the day I was notified a couple of hours later the part was not available and "might' be available on Thursday. I agreed to keep the loaner and wait until Thursday. On Thursday morning I checked and the part had arrived. It took all day to complete the job. When I picked the car up a small plastic piece was in the cup holder. I brought it to their attention and they got a technician to remove one panel install the part and then put the panel back.. Issues with this service: 1. Since I was specifically coming in to replace the recalled part, someone should have checked it was going to be in stock and on hand. 2. When I had airbag replaced on my Honda Civic it took 2 hours, not a full day. 3. If I had not noticed the part in the cup holder, it would have meant another appointment and service for what took 5 minutes to replace. 4. Having the loaner car is better than nothing, but doesn't mean I want to fuss around for 3 days with what should be a simple service. I was given a tank of gas in my vehicle for my inconvenience, which was a nice touch. 5. Lexus, not this dealer, but Lexus Corp. should have known in 2015 the air bag was defective. Maybe not? However, I strongly suspect from articles I have seen the companies are not issuing air bag recalls until they manufacture and have parts available for replacement. I understand in the real world that probably needs to happen. However, as the recall notice states, it is dangerous for a passenger to sit in the vehicle with this air bag. So while Lexus was waiting for replacement parts to be created, the owner has no knowledge there is a dangerous and possibly life threatening condition in the vehicle. 6. Lastly, only the passenger airbag was recalled and replaced, not the driver's side. Is this on an upcoming recall or was it made differently and will never be a problem? More
