I recently purchased my 2007 Lexus IS 250 and very surprised when I went to start it this morning only to find out that I had a dead battery. Their is NO excuse for lying to a customer. I purchased a new Lexus RX450 4 years ago and have used this dealership consistently for all my service work. Generally, they have done a good job. However, I recently brought my car into their shop for a complete detailing of the car inside and out. When I picked up the car, I noticed that there were water marks BEHIND the glass of my navigation/radio system. I brought this to the attention of the service manager and was told they would fix the problem or replace the unit. I made another appointment so that they could attempt to clean the glass. When returned to puck up my car, I was told that the unit could not be cleaned but they would replace the unit. After thinking about it, I called my service rep and told them I wanted to have them replace the unit and was told the new part would be ordered. I waited two weeks and called to inquire as to the status of the order. I was told that the part was never ordered because the service manager wanted to try and clean the unit before ordering a new unit.. When I complained that I had previously been told that the unit could not be cleaned, I was told by the device rep that the manager did not want the part ordered until they made another attempt to clean the unit. I asked why then was I never called back and told this. Their response was that I was on the list to be called. This is not the way I expect to be treated by a LUXURY car dealer. First I was told that they had made an attempt to clean the unit when I brought the car in for the second time. Then they never order the replacement unit and don't respond to me for two weeks until I call to find out the status. They continue to tell me that they will replace the unit if they can't clean it but I am not going to waste and more of my time. They had the opportunity to correct the problem they created but elected to play games. While I am forced to continue using their service department as there is no other Lexus dealership in Sarasota., I will NEVER purchase another car from them. More
