Disappointing and dishonest service I test drove a traded-in 2018 Benz in this dealer. Jamie Brown accompanied us and when we saw the crack on the touchpad of the vehicle, he himself sa I test drove a traded-in 2018 Benz in this dealer. Jamie Brown accompanied us and when we saw the crack on the touchpad of the vehicle, he himself said "obviously the previous owner smashed something heavy on it. It should be in warranty so we will take care of it. No worries". After I processed all the documents and paid down $5000, they replied the Benz dealer told them it's just scratch and lots of similar cars have the same problem. I checked with the Benz dealer they mentioned they brought the car to, found no record of inquiry or repair request. Benz dealer told me it is crack since it can't be buffed and it costs $1800-2000 to replace. I called and texted Jamie times with few response. Then I talked to the used car manager Jim Cooper, who apologized for his employee over the phone saying "you are a customer and Jamie shouldn't have treated you the way he did" but when I met Jim, he didn't explain why the behavior of Jamie and surprisingly, he even blamed me for negotiating the price. I had the right to negotiating especially on a true shortfall on their vehicle. They didn't have to take my offer but should not have blamed me for bargaining. On this car I almost agreed to handle the crack by myself but fortunately I found out the true cost and why they didn't want to sell me the car. If they honestly told me they found out it's not covered by warranty and discussed a deal with me, most likely I would still buy it and take care of the crack by myself. Given their dishonesty and attitude, I ended the purchase. I've been using Acura for 8 years so far and Bob Rohrman's new Lexus dealer was really a stunning hardware but their software -- sales people, are truly disappointing. It takes more then money to do business. Integrity comes first. More
