Dear JC, We are suprised and disappointed at the situation that has arisen. As you know your vehicle was in our service department recently and the tailgate was inspected for a needed repair and we have a part on order for you. We are aware that you took your car to another service center and they informed you that the engine serpentine belt is cracked and needs replacement also a rear suspension stut is leaking and the cabin air filter needs to be replaced. After visiting the other service centers you met with our service manager who inspected your vehicle again. Our findings are that the suspension strut is wet (normal moisture) - not leaking and does not need to be replaced at this time. The serpentine belt has no cracks in it and does not need to replaced, and the air filter appears to be okay for now. We do not sell work that is not needed. It is certainly your perogative to pay to have this work done somewhere else, yet we do not recommend the work at this time. Our responsibility is to inform clients of our findings, not to sell unnecessary work. We apologize for any misunderstanding, yet we are careful about our inspections and recommendations.
